The level of quality is very good including cement floated floors over wood and hot mop tar for waterproofing in the shower. The layout for the tile pattern was right on and Johns recommendations are good and should followed. I am a licensed contractor in another trade so I have a good understanding of doing a job right with a critical eye for workmanship."

"I called California Aborist and Del Mar Landscaping for an estiamte and found such a big difference in the level
of professionalism between those tow. California Arborist receptionist was very friendly and professional about making the appointment and ensuring arriving on time which they did. Paul showed up for the estimate, very knowledgeable and friendly guy. The only downside is because I wanted a service on the weekend I had to wait for a couple weeks for the service (they only schedule for saturday's service occasionally). But nevertheless it wasn't an urgent matter for me so waiting for a couple weeks for a good service was no big deal. I rather hired a company that knows and loves what they do rather then a company that can do it for the lowest price and hack my trees!!! The service was immaculate, they showed up on time, about 4 guys, even carefully remove some things off around the tree area when they were performing the trimming service(and yes they put back all the things were it belonged too) . And then clean up every thing like nothing had happened an hour later!!! It was worth the money spend for sure plus my Willow Tree looks fantastic.  (As for Del Mar Landscaping, they were not as reliable in returning phone calls.)

"From the time I contacted Kevin to the time the job was completed, SGB was fantastic.  I needed a very small master bathroom in an old house gutted and built from the ground up.  As this is a rental, my budget was very limited.  Kevin told me what he could do and what I would provide so he could meet the price I requested.  Kevin, along with his team worked miracles.  There were some plumbing issues that came up and Kevin handled all of them by communicating with me and giving me honest and accurate estimates of how much time this would put us back.  Not living in the house while the work was being performed was a new thing for me and I was nervous about workers being in the home when I was not.  My fears were unfounded.  Kevin and his team only used the french door leading to the bedroom and taped the bedroom door closed so dust and people couldn't use the rest of the house.  The work site was kept spotless.
The master bath turned out more beautifully than I could have imagined.  Amazing results with the budget I gave him.   As with any project, things go wrong ~ and they did in this case also. The door was put on "backwards", swinging the opposite way we had talked about.  I called Kevin and he was out there within a couple days to completely redo it.  It was a whole day job and he and his team completed it beautifully and timely, even though I know it affected his schedule.  I plan to use SGB for renovations to my new home.  Thank you Kevin and Angelo and team.

The city permit process slowed down the work but the demo/construction time was pretty much on schedule. Artlux was instrumental in obtaining the chosen appliances for the bbq peninsula. Brothers Abel and Rodrigo Arteaga were very responsive to all mid-course changes to the scope of work without much impact to the overall agreed initial estimate cost.
