- Falcone Crawl Space & Structural RepairIn August 2018 I purchased a 99 year old house. The kitchen was very drafty and I could feel very cold air coming in from behind the kitchen cabinets and under the dishwasher. I was having issues when it rained with water coming into my crawlspace and flooding my cellar. Since it was such a wet winter and this being my first winter in this house and still learning the issues that existed in a house of this age I just assumed it was due to the ground being satuated from all the rain throughout the winter seeping under the foundation and causing the flooding in my cellar. I had 5 other companies come out to determine what the cause was and give me an estimate of repairs. Popular opinion was to put in a second sump pump and encapsulate the crawlspace for moisture control and jack the floor up. One company even said that I had to rip out my granite counter tops before they could put a 12 foot pier with 3 floor jacks to eleviate the sagging kitchen floor. Others just wanted to jack the floor up. I was two days within gutting my kitchen so the first company could jack the floor up when something told me I needed to get one more opinion. So I went to Angie's List in hopes of finding a company that could find the real cause of my problem. That is where I discovered Falcone Crawlspace and Foundation Repair. Walter came out and crawled up under the house to check it out for me. He surfaced with pictures of a screwdriver he had sunk into the band joist and shared with me that he had discovered that the root of all the evil was due to a rotten band joist supporting the floor in my kitchen causing my floor to sag, crack my sink and making my granite countertops sink. He said that I did not need to jack my floors up, that what he proposed would take care of that once the band was replaced. Out of all the companies I called, Walter was the only one that found the real reason for my troubles. All the other companys were set on doing their "specialty" and did not even discover the real problem. If it had not been for Walter, I would have trusted the other company and in the end nothing would have been resolved but an encapsulated crawlspace and the extra expense of gutting my kitchen and putting it back in. Their way would not have solved my problem at all. When the Mitchell and Andre arrived to do the job they were so polite and professional. They listened carefully to my concerns and assured me that they would do a good job for me. There are no words to describe the miraculous job performed by Mitchell and Andre. These two young men went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that the repairs required to fix my sagging kitchen floor and counter tops and replace the band joist and subfloor. They kept me informed, cleaned up after themselves and were very careful in everything they did for me. I am so thankful that I made that "one more call" and found Falcone. - Falcone Crawl Space & Structural RepairThis company sent an estimator to evaluate my problem with water in my crawl space seeping in through the ground. The rep was on time and very professional and honest. He told me that my issue was due to poor grading on my property and gutter/downspout issues. He said that he could offer me his services, but my real problem was that water was not being moved or kept way from my foundation properly. He recommended that I get my gutters, downspouts, and underground plumbing from my downspouts inspected and repaired first. Anything he could offer to sell me would just be a band-aid to the real problem in my case. It was good to hear this honesty from a company. Fast forward a month, a few days ago, I went out with an umbrella during a downpour and noticed that all but one of my gutters was overflowing, and all but one of my downspouts were spilling water all over my foundation due to blocked or crushed underground drain plumbing. There was standing water on three sides of my house.....not good. It made me realize the guy from Falcone was 100% right and it prompted me to write this review. I now have companies that specialize in grading, and gutters/downspout drainage coming to fix the real problem. Thank you Falcone for being honest and not trying to sell me something I didn't need.....the mark of a great company. The rep did quote me a de-humidification system for my crawl space just in case I still have an issue in the future. I will definitely use them if I need it

"It was $300 cheaper to rip out and replace my sidewalk then do concrete leveling. I chose leveling due to schedule. That could be done immediately. Rip out and replace not till spring and then it would create a mess. In the end i wish I would have waited. The leveling was so so. I believe what the contractor did was best that the technology could do. I talked to the craft about my concerns while on-site and they were straight forward with answers. Basically technology was over sold. MasterServices was professional. They followed up before install and after.. There is a difference between service and product. My issue is totally with product delivered. Let's talk price as I'm sure many want to know costs. The minimum charge is $1500, but thats standard in the industry. I had 10 foot of sidewalk so that is why it would have been cheaper to replace. Actually 10 ft was lifted but the quote on replacement was everything 20' plus front stoop. Would I work with masterservices again? Wow that really depends! In my mind its the product delivered, not about how many times customer service calls you.
