Recent Fence Company Reviews in Cincinnati

  • Eads Fence Co Inc
I would definitely recommend EADs to anyone looking to have a fence professional installed. Their sales rep, Brian, was professional, on-time, upfront, knowledgeable, and responsive. The crew that installed the fence were the hardest workers I've ever dealt with. They were able to get the entire fence completed in one day. Plus the fence looks amazing

  • A Great Fence
Other than the long wait, which I understand, the installation was quick and professional. The crew, Rick, Steve and Robert knew exactly what they were doing. My dog really liked them…..and that’s a great review right there. I’ll recommend them to my friends.

  • Eads Fence Co Inc
We had Bernie as our sales representative and he showed up on time and was very responsive. We worked with Joy in scheduling and they were ready to install the fence when we were ready. Trey and Darren were our installers. They showed up on time, were very friendly, cleaned up their mess, and most importantly did a great job

  • Redwood Fence of Cincinnati
Alex was so great to work with! Always communicated about what would be happening. I would definitely recommend this business (already have actually), and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future. Our fence turned out great and we could not be happier!

  • Eads Fence Co Inc
Charles and his three sons Brady, Cody, and Noah installed 150 feet of 6 foot tall chain link fence for me. They did a great job, worked efficiently as a team and did not waste any time. However, the high quality work product is only a small part of the bigger picture in my opinion. This family / team not only represented EADS in the highest regard possible, they also represented themselves as total professionals and outstanding individuals. I am a 62 year old home owner. These young men did not have to give me “the time of day” whenever I tried to strike up a conversation. However, when they were taking a break and I would head out to see if they needed anything they would not hesitate to discuss any subject I brought up. They were kind, courteous, respectful, everything the younger generation needs to be and more. Congratulations to these young men and to their parents for a job well done!!

  • Pioneer Fence Co
Pioneer employes DAKOTA and JOSEPH performed the job in three days in 20°, gray and windy conditions. These men were friendly, courteous, professional, efficient, proficient and the results were 100% what we were expecting. Thank you Dakota and Joseph for a job WELL DONE and if you need work done by Pioneer Fence, We highly recommend you ask for them by name

  • Iron Will Fabrication, LLC
Extremely well. Lance was prompt to come out and review the project and fees were very fair. He completed the job in less than 10 days and he built and installed the railing with the highest quality and it looks excellent.

  • Cincy Fence Repair
Our split rail fence needed repairs and 2 new 5ft gates. We called Cincy Fence Repair and Jake was very prompt in scheduling time out of his busy schedule to stop by and give us a quote. Jake was very honest about asking us to replace only the rotten rails and the fence wire. Other companies had tried to convince us otherwise. Jake arrived promptly as scheduled and completed the work very efficiently. We are very satisfied with his work and will definitely recommend Cincy Fence Repair to our friends and neighbors

This is the second time that we have used AOS, and they have been great on both occasions. The recent repair involved a broken gate post that prevented our gate from closing which created a security situation for our parking lot. Even though Jeff and AOS were heavily booked, they managed to squeeze us in given the safety implications. We have been very impressed with both their customer service and their work! They have certainly become our go to fence contractor

  • DPM Fence LLC
Kendall and Joe are honest, timely, and communicative. I worked with the previous owner 3 years ago — and he was honest too. Despite the fact he underquoted us due to a mis-measure from someone on his team — he stood by the original quote, like an honest person. 3 years later, there was a wee problem with one of our gates, so we reached out to Kendall (who responded immediately), and Joe came back out within 48 hours and made it perfect -- totally free of charge! He just swung by and fixed it first thing in the morning. Again, this is particularly notable because at this point they had changed ownership, but they helped us out anyways. Anyways, based on my experience, I would recommend this company. They gave quality work — and just as important, they were upstanding citizens (which, I am finding, is increasingly rare)

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
