"We found Custom Home Works (CHW) during an exhaustive contractor search for a master bathroom remodeling project. We interviewed most of the big name remodeling companies in the area but we were uncomfortable with the either the cost or the job supervision process. In CHW we found a boutique firm whose co-owners, Bill Maibach and Dave Walker, had over 20 years of experience and are with you from design to finish. They are a can do team and, but for a few items, did the complete “to the studs” remodel themselves. Having the owners on site actually doing the work is both highly unusual and very beneficial in making sure the remodel is being executed to plan. They were a pleasure to work with. We found them responsive and professional while delivering a very high quality finished project. I couldn’t recommend more highly."

"Tim did a superb job of tearing out the old, putting in the new and repairing the active wet spots in the kitchen ceiling. I feel that his estimates were fair and reasonable and the craftsmanship was a world of difference from the previous subpar job I had done. He is very timely, works consistently and stays on schedule. I can't say enough how happy I am with his end result on this project! I'll be having him back to do another bathroom soon!"

"We recently remodeled a 100 year-old Craftsman home. We initially discussed the project with Mose Troyer and were very impressed with his knowledge and advice. The project required replacing and replicating a considerable amount of the woodwork. Mose also modified the existing Shaker kitchen cabinets. Modifications included building new cabinets to match the existing ones. He also adjusted several cabinets while maintaining the original look of the cabinetry. Mose also completely built an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the Shaker style. He installed new baseboards and window trim. He rebuilt and repaired existing window trim in several other rooms. Mose integrated the repairs to the point that after painting no one could discern that the sill had been repaired. His work was flawless. In addition, he walled off a doorway and built a bookcase with enclosed shelves in the lower half. He installed 10 new doors with hardware in line with the original style of the home. He also installed two barn doors with hardware. He is conscientious and easy to work with. Without his creativity and craftsmanship the project would never have been as successful and we’re thrilled with the results. Without reservation, we highly recommend Mose for cabinetry/carpentry work."

"If you need to do a remodeling project in your home THIS is the guy you need to use!! He does ALL the work himself (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc...). He did an AMAZING job and his price was more than reasonable. He is very reliable and he is meticulous with the work he does. He did 2 bathroom remodels in our home which he gutted and started from scratch. They both turned out beautiful (tile, flooring, cabinet install, plumbing, lighting etc..) and he does all the work himself!! He showed up on time everyday and he was a pleasure to have around! My dogs even loved him! He also remodeled our den and installed hardwood floors on our first floor. The work turned out beautiful and we are soo happy! We plan to use him again in the future to remodel our master bath and our basement. He was highly recommended from a few of my husbands co-workers who have also used him for many home remodel projects and were very happy with the quality/price of his work. After using a local "Remodeling Company" for our kitchen a few years back, I can't tell you how happy we were to find Greg of H&B Construction. That company charged us huge prices and the work went on forever!! Wish I would have known about Greg and H&B back then! This guy does it all, is very skilled, does beautiful work, is reliable and honest and his prices are VERY reasonable. "Cortez A1 Remodeling completed a front hall coat closet renovation for me that involved stripping wallpaper, removing stipple from the closet ceiling and sanding, priming, and painting, replacing an MDF shelf with red oak and mitre cutting PVC baseboards for the closet. Francisco and his dad, a master carpenter, also took care of the fine details for a staircase remodel, adding end pieces for unfinished edges. Cortez A1 Remodeling was on time, communicated well, and competent. I have other house projects requiring plumbing and electrical work. Since this company did an excellent job on these initial projects, I hope to have them as my “go to” resource for future projects."
