Our point of contact was Gary Courtright who did an excellent job in communicating, estimating, and coordinating the repairs and roofing shingle replacement for our rather large and expansive home in Fruit Heights, Utah, where in some years, the canyon winds through our town can exceed 100 MPH.  After 25 satisfactory years on our old roof, we contracted Kimball to complete some extensive roofing plywood repairs, re-flashing, re-membraning, and re-edging of the entire 6,000 SF roof.  Per Gary's expert advice, plus Louie and Rohojolo outstanding installation, we ended up with a very attractive and fully sealed roof that will probably last twice as long as our previous roof.  We now have a Tamko 50 year architectural shingled and ridged roof that can now withstand winds up to 150 MPH.  SUPER. JOB WELL DONE !

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Typically 1-3 days, depending on pool size and complexity.

In-ground pools lose water naturally due to wind, heat, and humidity. They also lose water from the kiddos' cannonball competitions. But be mindful of the water level. If it drops too low and the pump draws in air instead of water, it will likely be damaged and require repair or replacement.

How long a pool liner lasts depends on the type of pool. Most in-ground pool liners last between six and 12 years, while aboveground pool liners last anywhere from six to 10 years. You can extend the life of your pool liner by maintaining proper pool chemistry, adding chemicals individually to avoid staining the liner, using a pool cover to protect it from the sun, and keeping sharp objects away from it.

You shouldn’t install a new vinyl pool liner on top of an old liner as it can cause problems. For instance, once you drain your pool to install the new liner, the existing liner can dry out and become brittle. This can lead to deterioration that affects the condition of the new liner. Other types of pool liners can go directly over old liners safely, but you should always defer to a professional for the best course of action.

Pool repair costs come in all shapes and sizes, just like pools. Understanding the potential costs involved in repairing a pool can help you prepare your budget appropriately. Some of the most common pool repairs include:

  • Draining, refilling, and fixing leaks: $520–$4,060

  • Repairing the filter pump motor: $50–$300

  • Repairing the skimmer: $50–$300

  • Pump replacement: $700–$1,300

  • Drain repair: $400–$700

  • Beam crack repair: $75 per linear foot

  • Heater repair: $160–$730
