I didn't think I needed to stand over the man but was in the house doing some paperwork as he did his work. The blockage needed to be snaked from the ceiling and the basement. Broke the drain plug in the basement. Put a replacement in that leaks. Had to hire another plumber to come fix that new problem. When removing the old faucet in the 1/2 bath, the tech did some major damage to the ceramic sink. Called to talk to Cory, the owner, and he said tough. I could have the tech come try to tighten the plug in the basement, but he wouldn't even come look at the damage to the sink. I will never use Plumbing Masters again and would suggest you not either."

For disposal clogs with standing water, use a sink plunger and place it over the garbage disposal drain. Push the sink plunger up and down the drain about six to eight times before lifting. If the sink drains, the clogged food particles are dislodged from the drain. If there’s still standing water, repeat the steps until the standing water clears out.

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). Your city is responsible for any clogs or damage to the main line itself.

Knowing the signs can alert you to a clogged drain line. Clogs cause slow drainage or cause no drainage (if there’s a complete blockage). You may also notice foul odors, gurgling noises, water backing up in other appliances on the same line, or a poorly flushing toilet. If you experience any of these issues and think your line might be clogged, call a plumber.

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.
