"The original project was handled so well, and the Owners' willingness to work with us was unparalleled such that we called them for two additional projects, which they did impeccably. This company, RDP Electrical Services Plus, LLC, owned and operated by Richard and Diane Prevette is first class, honest and very accurate and knowledgeable in their work. The professional electricians on the jobs were respectful, conducted themselves with excellent work ethic and kept "their noses to the grindstone," working to complete jobs in timely fashion and kept our property neat, cleaning up the worksite. We would hire them again and again. If you want to make a wise investment in your property and save money in the long run simultaneously, you'll also call RDP Electrical Services Plus, LLC. We have recommended them by word of mouth and in writing, and will continue to do so. Family, guests, and now Real Estate professionals and potential buyers are also impressed with RDP Electrical Services, LLC work done on our house."

"Well, the system is great! It took a while to get the system installed due to paper work for grant and bank loan. Finally got system up and running on 10/5/16.  The system provides complete energy for our house and business. And we don't have to pay the electric company, in fact they will be paying us for any overflow production.

If your are interested is installing, you better hurry because the demand is increasing dramatically and the waiting time for installation will take a while.

Brian Brown from Renewable Engineered Systems is our provider. Very easy to work with and they are a local company with a very professional attitude.  His contact phone number is 276-226-0228"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Princeton, electrical projects should be addressed right away if you notice warning signs like flickering lights, burning odors, buzzing panels, or frequent breaker trips—these often indicate urgent safety risks. After storms, check for exposed wires or water damage, which require prompt attention. Projects like adding extra outlets or upgrading fixtures can typically wait, but always prioritize repairs in older Princeton homes, especially before colder months arrive.

Helpful?

When hiring electrical pros in Princeton, choose contractors with experience in local homes and knowledge of area-specific electrical panel upgrades. Verify they carry insurance and have strong local references. Avoid those who request full payment upfront or solicit work after storms. It’s also wise to select professionals familiar with Princeton’s unique terrain and local code requirements for added confidence and compliance.

Helpful?

Princeton’s cold winters and humid, stormy summers can delay electrical projects and increase the risk of power surges. Winter freezes make underground work difficult, while summer storms highlight the need for surge protection and weatherproof installations. Many Princeton homeowners install generators to manage frequent outages. Scheduling upgrades in milder spring or fall weather helps prevent delays and ensures your electrical system is ready for seasonal demands.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical work in Princeton, review your home’s electrical panel for capacity, and schedule a walkthrough with your contractor to identify potential access challenges. Secure required permits early and confirm if your project affects the meter or service entrance. Order specialty items in advance, especially for older homes. Plan work for spring or fall to avoid weather delays, and ensure clear access for crews and equipment.

Helpful?

Completing electrical upgrades in Princeton can significantly boost your home’s value and buyer appeal, especially in older properties. Buyers look for modern electrical panels, GFCI outlets, and whole-home surge protection for safety and convenience. Energy-efficient improvements, like updated lighting or smart thermostats, are also attractive and may offer rebate opportunities. Focus on code-compliant, practical upgrades to maximize your Princeton home’s resale potential.
