We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. "Last night the torsion spring for our garage door opener broke with a loud bang. After looking on line how to replace this spring, it was obviously not a DIY project as it can be dangerous and cause severe injury. Early this morning we called Danny's Door Service and within two hours their tech, Chuck, arrived to replace it. He was very friendly, experienced and efficient. He replaced the spring in less than a half an hour at very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Danny's if you are confronted with a similar problem. Tel is 304-599-3667"

Hinged French patio doors are a great choice for security. Their solid frame and ability to swing open provide a more secure structure than sliding doors, which rely on tracks that can wear down over time. French doors often come with multi-point locking systems and deadbolts, securing the door at multiple points and making them harder to break into. Of course, the door’s security also depends on factors like material quality, locking mechanisms, and proper installation—all of which ensure your door does its job of keeping your home safe.

You can use any wood to make an interior door, provided it’s the right thickness. Common options for painted doors include pine or poplar for the stiles, rails, and mullions, and paint-grade plywood for the panels. You can also opt to make your own panels out of pine or poplar if you intend on staining the door instead. Opting for oak, maple, or another hardwood is another great option for a high-end door that will last for decades, but the wood will cost significantly more.

There are certainly perks to hiring a general contractor, but we recommend a closet professional. The reason is that their pricing may make more sense for your project.
