"We purchased a big deal from Angie's List - $99 for $200 of electrical work. After submitting three possible days and times I received an email back saying to call and set up an appointment. Not exactly an efficient use of my time. When I called the person on the other end of the line was curt and explained what the $99 would cover - basically their service fee to get there and about 15 minutes worth of actual electrical work. After that it would be, I believe she said $36 every half-hour. I was a bit dismayed that this really wasn't much of a deal. The electrician was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the problem with the bathroom light fixture quickly and was able to resolve the problem within the time constraints of the deal so we owed nothing more. We will need to replace the fixture as it was a poor quality fixture installed by the builders, but it currently works. While I thought I would hire them back for the actual replacement, it will depend on the customer service when trying to schedule and get a cost estimate. Although it would be simple enough to do myself, I do not mess with electric as a rule. "

"The toilet needed to be replaced. I was told that I would only get the builder standard grade toilet even though I was signed up with the highest plan. The plumber was replaced my toilet with something that was definitely builder grade and not even close to what I had. I called CHOICE and they told me that it should have been replaced with something comparable to what I had. Twice they told me they were going to have my claim looked at and I have not received a call about it or any new information. The new toilet is wrong in size and specs and doesn't fit well where it is in the bathroom."
