06-18-2014 $80,000 Interior project Member Comments: Our project consisted of a complete gut and then remodel of the kitchen 5 rooms and powder bath. We chose to use Teppo for the entire remodeling project. Kevin made several visits to the house in the evening, bringing samples of cabinets, counters and flooring. He coordinated a showroom visit after hours for us. He was knowledgable and easily addressed concerns about several small details in the remodeling process. In the process, Kevin did not over-promise or gloss over specifics. The price quote was in line with four other quotes that we had received but we saved a considerable amount by using Teppo's wholesale connections - a savings that we applied towards nicer outfitting of the kitchen cabinets and quartz countertops. Teppo's cabinet and countertop vendor discounts were also substantial. We are excited to begin the project in the next few weeks. Kevin is very professional, listens very well to the customer and incorporates these points into his planning. Hello! Welcome to Teppo Interiors! We look forward to working with you on your remodeling project. Teppo provides the very best design, contruction, and installation of any interior remodeling project. If you are looking for detailed interior design and construction Teppo is your only option. Teppo will be with you every step of your project. When purchasing with Teppo you cut out the middle man. In regards to cabinets, counter tops, flooring, etc, 99% of all local stores and contractors in the Cleveland area buy from distributors. This distributor (middle man) purchases inventory, marks-up the material, and then resells to these stores and contractors. These stores then sell to you at a higher cost. For three generations, the Teppo family and its partners have ran a Distributorship. Additionally, you always receive our family oriented professionalism in all of our offered services locally through our Madison Wisconsin and Westlake Ohio locations.

Currently we have 6 full time employees but are able to bring in extra workers that have worked for us in the past & are just as skilled & efficient as are the other employees. The company was started by my father John & a business partner when I, Chris was about 15. I have worked full time for the company since I was 17 years old & am now 36. I took to it right away & was very good at it. I look at it as more of an art-form that just a job to do & I take great pride in the work we do. Because when you can take a 100 year old piece of stone floor that has been scratched, gouged & had all of it shine & luster just obliterated, then refinish it to make it look like it was just polished in the factory & has a mirror shine that you can read the wattage of the light bulbs in the ceiling off of, you know you've done your job well & it gives you that sense of pride from a job well done. Everyone that has worked for us who came to us without a background in stone restoration, I trained myself & held them up to the standards that I hold myself to. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I always do my utmost to make sure that every part of a floor, wall, counter-top, vanity, tub surround, stair, baseboard or any other piece of Marble,Granite,Terrazzo,Travertine or natural stone is refinished to the best that it can be. We do sub-contract. We are fully insured. Some companies & corporations require we carry a minimum of several million dollars in insurance to be able to do stone restoration work at their facilities & we do have that coverage. Depending on the size & scope of the job, sometimes a deposit is required before we can begin work. Because of the type of work this is, there are no special promotions offered unless arrangements are made between the company owner & the customer. There are no options for financing. Payment is due either upon completion of work or within no more than 30 days of completion of work.

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Services include debris removal, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

You can buff your floors yourself if you have plenty of time, patience, and know-how. This intermediate-level DIY project requires either buying or renting a floor buffer and purchasing a buffing solution. This process can be time-consuming and, if not done correctly, can leave burn-like marks on your floor.

To ensure this job is done correctly without damaging your floors, consider hiring a professional floor buffer and polisher instead. You might save money on labor costs by DIYing this project, but you could spend more on repairs if not done correctly.

Baking soda is an excellent choice for a natural dog urine neutralizer. You can sprinkle it on a stain, leave it overnight, and then vacuum it in the morning to help rid your hardwoods of the dog urine smell. Hydrogen peroxide is another odor neutralizer, but be careful not to mix it with other household cleaners.

DIY kits exist, but professional services ensure even polishing, stain removal, and proper sealing for long-lasting protection.
