Customers say: Super punctual

"Couldn't be happier with Fulmer tile.  Had some sticker shock after pricing out the local design stores.  Fulmer tile advised us to purchase our own tile from whatever source we wanted and they would install.  Total job with labor and materials came to about 1/4 of what the design stores quoted.
Excellent quality work.  Project took about 1 day with a few extra hours on the second day to caulk.
I can't recommend Fulmer tile enough.

"We had the tile resurfaced in a large walk-in shower and neighboring spa tub surround. Did two different colors and the job took 4 days. The 1 and 4th days were partial days, Jeremy the technician did an excellent job...was on time and considerate. We are very happy with the work that was done and the finished product."

Oscar and his crew did a beautiful job of installing our roof and cleared up the site before they left excellently. Extremely polite and efficient. Job was done in one day and were so happy with the results"

"The salesman was knowledgeable. They had a great selection of hardwoods and laminate flooring. The sample were big and many were on the floor so you could actually see and walk on them. There was no pressure. When we asked for a couple of samples they were provided. Later we made our selection and went back - it was in their warehouse. We had one upopened package which we returned for a refund as promised. No hassle. Our installer loved the barrier/pad we bought from them. It was strong and sturdy and stayed in place when walked on.

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.

For glass tile, you want to use unsanded grout. Sanded grout is a stronger and grittier cement grout that is great for installing tiles with wider gaps and into joints. However, it is susceptible to scratching glass tile and is more difficult to use in thinner gaps. Unsanded grout, while more expensive, is easier to fit between thin gaps and is less harsh on delicate materials, like glass tile.

The lifespan of bathroom tile can be 50 years or more, depending on proper installation and regular maintenance. A well-done tile job, whether it's a new installation or a retiling project, can last for many decades. To lengthen the life of your tile, it's best to have it installed by a professional and to perform regular maintenance. This includes routine cleaning, resealing, and regrouting as needed. With proper care, you can expect your tile to last 10 years or more before needing major repairs or retiling, especially in high-traffic areas where tiles can wear out more quickly.

No, you don’t technically need a cement backer board for a wall tiling project, but not using it risks disastrous moisture damage. Cement is naturally water-resistant, whereas drywall soaks it in, which can lead to warping or mold growth. Always use a backer board treated with a waterproof membrane for bathrooms and other chronically damp areas to ensure complete tile shower waterproofing.
