Shoe Repair Leather Sewing Repair on brands like Birkenstock®, Rocky Boots® Allen Edmonds®, etc. Replace heels and soles Polishing Orthopedic service / work Shoe and boot stretching Tack repair Industrial sewing Zipper repair / replacement Leather belts custom made to size Animal leashes & collars

"I left a pair of boots with them to repair. I was charged what was a fair amount, given that it was a service I couldn't do myself and would cost less than buying another pair. When I dropped them off, I asked when I should expect them to be done. They answered one month. This is fine, I realize that there are other customers who came before me and I don't know how hard/time consuming fixing shoes are. I came back one month later and they weren't done. Again, this is fine, sometimes it's hard to estimate how long projects will take. They told me to return in two weeks. When I did, they told me to return in one week. I came back again and they old me a few days. Again, and they said they'd have it done the next day. I should take this moment to note that there are significantly more visits to the store that didn't even yield responses. They have no phone number, so an in-person visit is the only way to get an update. They have their store hours listed on google, but whether they're open during that time was a roll of the dice. I've gone in the middle of the day on a weekday and found them closed. I've gone during their open hours, seen the sign saying it was open, and found the door locked. I've even gone when the sign said it was open, the door was unlocked, and there were people inside, only for those people to tell me they were closed. All this, while very frustrating, I could have tolerated, except for one thing. I went to pick up my boots again, two and a half months after first leaving them there, to find that the store had been entirely gutted, just an empty storefront. I left my number with them when I first dropped off my boots and they gave me no notification of them closing, or moving locations. They absconded with my shoes AND my money, leaving no clue of how to get either of them back. I paid them $83 dollars for the privilege of waiting for over two months and got nothing out of it."

Denny is the sole employee of the business at this time and has been doing excellent repairs for 33 years. We are subcontractors for other businesses. We often work with Holzbauer & Sons in Germantown to offer leather reupholstery to customers who need it. We bill commercial customers. For private customers we take V/MC, check, or cash.

"Within five minutes of being at my home the owner use the bathroom. After they left, I spent an hour cleaning my bathroom as he left quite the mess. He also broke my childproof toilet lock, and did not offer any reimbursement for it. The work seem like it was done properly at the time but within a week there was a yellow ring around the repair I would not have even fixed the small rip. If I knew it would look worse. This is a $5000 couch that has a major flaw now. I tried reaching out to the owner and no resolution was provided even though they say that there’s a six-month warranty on the work. DO NOT HIRE!!"

Leather and Vinyl Repair questions, answered by experts

Even with proper floor protection, small scratches sometimes happen. If it’s just a minor scuff, you can often buff it out with a sponge and a bit of floor polish. For slightly worse scratches, there are a variety of scratch removal products that may help, including finish restorer and blending pencils.

In general, vinyl flooring resists scratches, dents, and tears, but this can vary from one type of vinyl (and manufacturer) to another. Vinyl flooring has a wear layer that ranges in thickness from 6 to 20 millimeters. This layer offers protection against standard scratches, but vinyl with a thicker wear layer will resist scratches better than those with a thin layer.

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner for vinyl flooring and won’t ruin the material. Mopping the floor with a cup of vinegar diluted in a gallon of warm water can make it sparkle.

Porcelain and ceramic tile are two of the longest-lasting kitchen flooring materials. However, while these materials can withstand a good amount of daily wear and tear, they’re likely to crack if you drop something heavy on them, and they’re pricier than many other options. On average, installing a ceramic tile kitchen floor costs between $1,240 and $11,250. Other durable kitchen flooring options include natural stone and concrete.

It’s true: Fido’s claws can scratch up your nice engineered hardwood floors since the top layer is made of exposed hardwood. For this reason, pet owners may want to opt for the more durable laminate flooring options that offer the appearance of hardwood without the vulnerability to scuffs and scratches. As a bonus, laminate flooring is also less expensive than engineered hardwood.
