Lori Snarski, is the owner of the business - All American Handy Woman, (in Milwaukee, near Bay View) but I am not sure if this is even a real company. That was my mistake not to do the background work to confirm it was a licensed and legitimate business.
The work I hired Lori - All American Handy Woman for was for an upper unit of a duplex. I hired her in February for a finish date of no later than February 27th, as of March 31st she was still not done. I have decided to cut my loses.
I will start with the most serious offense of theft of property. Lori stole (2) of my antique light fixtures from the property, the police are involved and theft charges pending.
Below are a list of items that were done significantly poorly or not done at all, these include but are not limited too:
1. Lori was suppose to get the work done within 10 days, February 27th that the finish date agreed on, however as of March 31st she was still not done with the work. I had to cut my losses on her coming back, she has still not returned the key to the unit.
2. Bathroom Shower liner - this had numerous bumps and bubbles throughout the liner - she used the wrong glue. It looks horrible and she will not fix it.
3. When she put the new toilet in she didn't shut the water off completely. As a result, water leaks down through the floor to and through the ceiling tile and onto the carpet of the tenant below. It damaged their ceiling tile and carpet said she would fix it but after several calls to her, it is apparent she has no intention of repairing the damage she did.
4. The paint job was sloppy and she had drips on my hardward floor throughout the house. She didn't caulk any of the seems from the ceiling to the wall, which she said she would do.
5. She asked (3) times for more money upfront for material, I foolishly gave it to her without confirming the purchases.
Honestly, I could go on and on, bottom-line was stole personal property on-site, she did a poor job, did damage to the tenants property and did not repair and did not finish the job.
The contractor is a woman and she lists herself and her business on Craigslist as All American Handy Woman.
