"Everything from consult to install was fantastic, the whole team is very polite and respecting of your home. Since their system has been installed we haven't had a single drop of water in the basement where before we would get 2 to 3 inches of standing water!!!"

"Acculevel did a super job for us! We have a house that was built in 1902 with a small crawl space. They fixed ALL our problems and did NOT have to tear up the floors. Our floors are level and stable. They were professional and neat. I would hire them for any basement or foundation issues you wont be sorry! 10 stars to the crew"

"I spoke with a representative ( John?) and he was extremely helpful and advised that my problem needed a structural engineering consultation. I hired the engineer he recommended and cancelled the purchase of a house based on those results. John was very honest, forthright and helpful. I will definitely call Basement Repair Specialists if I do need basement and foundation work done."

"Most of the employees were conscientious Work lasted about a week and was the installation of a waterproofing system in my interior basement. The cement over the drain is very uneven with the existing flooring in much of the area. No way could carpet be used after this. Anyone contemplating this same kind of work should specify floor must be level and ask to see actual material covering the walls, not just pictures to avoid surprises. Clearly much of my disappointment would have been avoided if I had been more fastidious in my specifications and investigations."

"Since we've purchased our house, Everdry Waterproofing of Wisconsin has since been nothing short of wonderful. The transferring of everything from the old owners to us was flawless. When we've needed anything they've been on it. Owning a home is a huge responsobility, but knowing you have an amazing company like this to make things easier is comforting. If I could give 6 stars, I truly would. Thanks for the continued top-notch customer service! And a huge thanks to Adam- their Service Manager for being so kind, helpful and informative."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.
