We are a small family-owned business, operating out of Lena, WI. We recently started our company branching off from our families painting company that has been operating for three generations, so we have experience and expertise in many aspects of interior and exterior work. We can help make your dream a reality through painting of walls and ceilings, to trim and cabinetry. We also do exterior painting of houses, barns, metal roofs, and more! Over the cooler months, we offer painting of furniture, such as dressers and tables. Along with painting we also do interior and exterior cleaning, which can be on a biweekly/monthly schedule, spring/fall deep cleaning, one time cleaning, and post construction clean up. Latex paint is a good option to use on wood panels because it's user-friendly and easy to find in home improvement stores. It comes in a variety of finishes ranging from high-gloss to flat. You can technically just paint over hairline cracks in plaster since these cracks are often harmless, but this will mostly be a waste of paint. Paint will only hide the hairline crack for a few months before it shows up again. The best solution is to repair the crack with flexible filler or joint compound before repainting.

You should apply at least two coats of paint to your project, but some surfaces may benefit from a third coat of paint. Ensure you’ve waited the right length of time before applying a second or third coat of paint, and try to apply it evenly for a cohesive finish.

The only time that it's okay to leave a paintbrush in water overnight is when you're trying to remove dried-on paint. However, don't allow the bristles to rest on the bottom of the container. Remember that soaking it longer than necessary can damage the brush.

Roller marks are streaks or smudges that show up on the wall after painting. They can make the paint's surface look textured or uneven. To prevent roller marks, make sure there's enough paint on the roller when you apply it to the wall. You may have to dip the roller in the paint more frequently than you expect to ensure you have an adequate amount of paint on it.

Choosing the right type of roller can also help you avoid streaks and marks. If you're painting an interior wall, look for a roller with a low nap and choose one that's large enough for the job.
