We are a small family-owned business, operating out of Lena, WI. We recently started our company branching off from our families painting company that has been operating for three generations, so we have experience and expertise in many aspects of interior and exterior work. We can help make your dream a reality through painting of walls and ceilings, to trim and cabinetry. We also do exterior painting of houses, barns, metal roofs, and more! Over the cooler months, we offer painting of furniture, such as dressers and tables. Along with painting we also do interior and exterior cleaning, which can be on a biweekly/monthly schedule, spring/fall deep cleaning, one time cleaning, and post construction clean up. We offer outdoor pressure washing services as well. Quotes are always free, and all work is timely! Solace Property Solutions is here to give you "peace of mind, every time!"

Choosing the right paint color for a major investment like painting the exterior brick on your house can be a daunting task. Perhaps the most important thing is to find painted brick houses that you like and replicate the look by researching their colors and asking the homeowners for the paint color code. In most cases, you’ll need two coats of paint to ensure proper coverage. If you put down a coat of primer first, you could get away with a single coat of paint, but you’ll likely still need two coats. You can test to see if your mist coat has worked by using masking tape after the drying period. Apply masking tape to an inconspicuous area of the wall after the mist coat has had at least 24 hours to dry. Then, peel off the tape. It should come up clear, with no paint residue. If it does have paint residue, you may need to remove the mist coat and try coating the plaster again with a different ratio of paint and water.

Enamel paint is typically an oil-based paint, but some options on the market are water-based. Water-based enamel paints tend to dry faster, in less than 8 hours, while oil-based enamel paints may take 24 hours. Oil-based enamel tends to be more durable and retain its shine for longer than water-based enamel paint.
