"After spending a good amount with a different contractor to remodel our main floor, we had to settle with the fact that a basement remodel was likely not in our short term plans. However, after taking a meeting with Matrix, we were pleasantly surprised that a substantial remodel was not out of the question after all. We were honestly so focused on the fact that something could get done that we didn’t nit pick on the finishes and some of the details, but wow were we impressed by the quality and workmanship of the end product. The project managers (we had Ben) do everything that’s needed to keep on schedule, but rest assured this does not mean that any shortcuts of any kind are taken. The sub-contractors used are simply amazing, and seem motivated to do whatever is needed to keep Matrix and the customers happy. Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out!"

"The good - Job was eventually completed and we are pleased with the outcome. I was impressed that most of the work was done by one guy when some tasks could clearly be done a lot easier with 2 people. They did stick to the quoted price. The bad - and maybe should be 2 stars for these. We hired them at the end of March 2024 with the project quoted to be completed by the middle of July 2024. It did not get completed until Jan 2025 and this is completely unacceptable. We got a call from the electricians that they used stating that he was not returning their calls and that they did not make the payment. Eventually by the time the project was completed they did pay for the initial install. I chose to pay the electricians myself for the completion portion and did not go through CWE for that because they lied to me about contacting the election to finish the project. They also rarely returned my calls. His worker would show up without notice that he was coming out."

As a result, we asked them to do some additional work in our kitchen, to include new countertops, sink and undercounter lights. We are very satisfied and anticipate using ABC again. "All of these 5 star reviews got dumped on the Angi page, dated 2/2024. All show shiny basements & what appears to be excellent work & reviews claiming excellent communication. It's how I came about the referral - as well as their Facebook ads. Not sure if they bit off more than they could chew, but communication has been awful if not non-existent. The home visit seemed great! But I had to email them for the quote afterwords. Then a visit to the showroom a month later was dirty, plant dirt lying around, no bathroom available to the customers, giant weeds outside of the building they purchased. If you're presenting yourself as professional contractors, appearance of a showroom where you host customers is a reflection of your work. I didn't hear from them in over 4 wks. I emailed & was met with an excuse & zero delivery of promise for final proposal. We are taking our business elsewhere. We just wasted 3 months for nothing."
