Yes, repaving a driveway increases a home’s value, but the extent to which it increases depends on the materials, design, and overall market conditions in your area. Additionally, if your existing driveway is already in good condition, then repaving it won’t yield as much of a value increase as it would if your existing driveway is in poor condition.

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. But this is best reserved as a temporary solution based on budget restraints, as asphalt requires more frequent repairs and assessments than concrete. Once that concrete top is poured, it’ll be harder to accurately understand what’s happening beneath that layer, which could lead to more issues.

Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.
