"Called Eric, he called back within a couple of hours. Came over to my house that evening with a new hot water heater per my requested specs.. Got it installed in about 2 hours. He also rerouted my gas pipes to the new hot water heater to meet code. He also explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. I will call Gans Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."

"Jim was great.  I called him for his services and he was able to come out within 24 hours and met me punctually in the morning prior to my work.  The work was all done professionally and pipe replaced cleanly and no debris was left.  Would use again for other plumbing services."

"Bought this in the spring to use before burning in the fall/winter.  Ended up moving in December and did not use it.
I'm wasn't sure how to score a company I didn't use (and not reviewing isn't really an option), so I just picked a score consistent with the average rating.

"Quality of finished work was excellent, and the crew was very professional. I decided to start the project very late in the year, so there were frequent delays due to the seemingly constant rain. This was no surprise, however, as I expected that we would encounter numerous delays due to weather and the end-of-the-season scramble. I'm just happy we got it done this year. The job site was cleaned up perfectly after completion of work. I will be calling for an additional quote on a chimney liner."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

Safety steps include proper vent installation, connector tightness, and leak testing. A safe environment must be maintained throughout.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.
