"Kirch Improvements LLC is who you want to build your deck! John and his crew were wonderful. John, from the time he came for the free estimate and throughout the entire build, was very informative and thorough. Very knowledgeable and detailed oriented. The demo and construction of our project went flawlessly. They were very respectful of the surrounding areas around the deck and always cleaned and oicked up the work area. And the finished product?! Couldn't be any happier!! One of the best exeriences we have ever had."

"We signed up for the Big Deal and ended up spending much more; however, the money spent was worth the work. The owner was knowledgeable of different glass options and features and did not try to "sell-up". He made helpful recommendations. The company was extremely professional when they arrived with windows that were cut slightly wrong to match the window space, due to a frame in the existing window space that couldn't be removed. They brought all the windows back to their shop & recut/sized them. This did not delay the work's completion. Writing this review a year later, we can say we are completely satisfied with the windows and have no quality concerns, such as air or water leaking. It's nice to work with a company that stands by its work.

"Overall, I was not pleased with the work or professional. The actual tuckpointing and pitching the sill, the work looked like it was done well, but when they went to caulk the sill, the caulking was not a smooth caulk bead. Trying to have them correct the issue was difficult. If the owner was not happy with me dealing with him, he would not show up the next time to do the work. The project dragged out a long time."

"They did do the job but I question the material that they used for part of the job. They used 2 products and so the one at the end of the driveway is white which doesn’t tie in to anything that we did down there. The one they used on the house was perfect but then they didn’t use the same thing at the end. So it’s kind of a mixed big. The repair was done but I question their choice of material. The cracks were sealed, that part was done. It’s just that its unsightly at the end of the driveway because it just stands out. They were out relatively quickly. I would recommend that you should be very thorough when you talk to them."

"Panda Properties gave us the rec room we truly wanted, and more. I nearly cried when I came home one day and all the trim and doors were stained and hung, the walls were painted and the light fixtures installed. It was a beautiful sight. Soon after Bryan started, he had some employee turnover which caused delays, but well worth the wait in the end for him to finish this outstanding job. Bryan even fixed other problems to this old house that we didn't foresee and took care of us every step of the way. He kept to the budget and gave us exactly what we needed, and more. Bryan and his crew are charming men and we enjoyed having them in the house. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our environment and privacy. We highly recommend Bryan and his crew for any household project!!! He knows what he is doing and does it right on the first time. He never had to come back to fix something after the project. Thanks Bryan!!!!"

"RRG removed ceramic tile from two hallways, leveled, replaced and repaired the subfloor in preparation for maple wood flooring to be put in place. The reason we called RRG in the first place is because the floor company who was contracted to put in the wood flooring and refinish all our wood floors, did not do ceramic tile removal work. We had seen RRG in our neighborhood on many occasions and we called them to see if the tile removal job wouldn't be too small for them to do. Joe gave an estimate that we accepted and was there on time to begin the two day job.
The job turned out great. Joe and his crew were there for two days and left both work areas very clean. This was a very messy job but they built containment blocks of plastic sheeting that minimized residual dust.
Joe and his crew were thorough and very professional. If we had known in advance that they did wood flooring and refinishing we would have used them for the entire wood floor replacement and refinishing job. We will use them in the future.

"Although we decided not to go ahead with our remodeling project, it was not because of the Robert Schafer Construction. Robert came to our house on three occasions, brought tile samples, and provided a comprehensive written estimate. He was very friendly and was always on time. Even after I told him we decided not to go forth with the project, he was still very kind and professional. If and when we decide to remodel our bedroom and bathroom, we will definitely have Robert do it.

Installing glass block windows has benefits and disadvantages, as with most materials. The pros and cons can vary depending on the type of glass block and the window location.
Pros
Maintains privacy while letting light into the bathroom
Energy efficient
Sealed to prevent drafts
Aesthetically pleasing
Strong and secure
Cons
Costly to install
Challenging installation
Challenging repair
Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.
The average cost to install glass block windows is about $710, ranging from $460 to $1,000, depending on the size and design of the window, installation type, and location. Different styles of glass blocks also impact the cost:
Clear glass blocks: $10–$30 per block
Colored glass blocks: $25–$40 per block
Acrylic glass blocks: $15–$25 per block
Wavy glass blocks: $10–$30 per block
Alpha glass blocks: $15–$25 per block
Ice glass blocks: $20–$35 per block
Diamond glass blocks: $20–$75 per block
Frosted glass blocks: $30–$35 per block
Typically, glass block windows last about 15 to 30 years, slightly less than regular windows, which last 20 to 50 years. Resealing glass blocks can help extend the lifespan of this bathroom feature. The key to ensuring that glass block windows last as long as possible is to have a professional glass block installer place them. Glass block pros will have the skills, tools, and knowledge required to install these special features into any space, noting obstacles like damaged windows or too-cramped areas during the consultation.
Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.
