"The handyman name is Pete, they came out the same day that I could get a hold of him because I was in a hurry to get it done. He was there in an hour, he was really friendly. You don't have to worry about getting rid of the old part yourselves. He made sure that the microwave cart was really sturdy, he reinforced it. Besides that, our screen door was having a little issue and he noticed that and he fixed it. He went above and beyond that you could ask for. So I would highly recommend them."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

You can turn your aboveground chlorinated pool into a saltwater pool. The cost of a saltwater pool conversion is between $750 and $2,000, depending on your pool’s size. A saltwater pool offers benefits like less maintenance and water that is gentler on your skin. You’ll need to replace the salt every five years, but you won’t need to clean your pool as frequently.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.

Yes, swimming in a pool with high calcium hardness is considered safe as long as you have sufficient chlorine and pH levels to keep bacteria growth under control. The main issue with high calcium hardness is that it damages your pool through rust and corrosion. However, if your water is hard enough to corrode your pool, you might want to consider finding methods to make it safe for drinking at home.

It’s best to avoid draining your pool onto your lawn for several reasons. Most importantly, your local municipality may not allow homeowners to drain pools in areas where it can seep into groundwater. Additionally, draining pool water on your lawn can cause erosion and damage your grass.

If you put too much chlorine in your pool, it can make the pH level more acidic, creating a health risk. You might experience symptoms like nausea, dizziness, vomiting, skin rashes, and irritation in the eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. To lower the chlorine level, you can turn off your chlorinator or chlorine feeder, add more water to dilute the pool, or remove the cover to let sunlight naturally reduce the chlorine.
