No, it’s best not to leave baking soda and vinegar in the drain overnight. While using baking soda and vinegar can be helpful to clear out hair and debris in your bathtub drain, this mixture might start to corrode your drainpipes due to its caustic nature if left in the drain too long or used too often. 

There are many things that could cause your basement floor drain to back up. One significant cause of a drainage backup is flushing non-flushable items, such as wipes, paper towels, and facial tissue. First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.
