"Alan Zuberbuehler of AZ Painting has been my go-to painter for 33 years. Most recently, in May 2021, he and his crew painted nearly the entire interior of our home. I have never worked with a better contractor of any type. For starters, AZ Painting far exceeded the basic requirement of doing a really good paint job. In fact, it was flawless. More important, Alan is a really nice guy. Doing quality work is not easy, but many people can pull it off. Alan is one of a very few who also make you proud to know him and happy to have had him do work in your home. This is exemplified by the fact that one of the two people on his crew has worked with him for more than 20 years, and that the other has been with him for nearly as long. You don't generate that kind of loyalty without being a pretty good boss. We contacted Alan in late April to ask if he could give us a quote for painting the interior of our home in anticipation of listing it for sale. He responded in a timely manner, and came to our home on a Sunday to look at the scope of the work. Knowing that we wanted to get the work done as quickly as possible, Alan provided us a price quote, and had already contacted some of his other committed clients and gotten their permission to delay their jobs so that he could accommodate us. AZ Painting was at work in our home the next day. They arrived when they said they would. They worked efficiently and professionally. They were happy, friendly, and polite. They were considerate of our feelings about masking up when we were at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. More than once, a member of the crew stayed late in order to finish a particular part of the job so they could work more efficiently the following day. They used high quality paint. They took pains to protect our floors from damage. When they left at the end of each day, our home was completely usable but for the very small area set aside for their paint and gear. Alan usually stayed later than the others in order to organize materials and to plan the sequence of work for the next day. For this level of service and quality of work you could easily expect to pay a premium price. Not so. The cost of the work was perfectly reasonable. More important, the cost of the work was exactly what Alan had quoted us."

"We have known Mr. Halverson and worked with Mudslinger?s many times over the last two years. Mudslinger?s is extremely easy to work with, and customer focused. We have had them remove wallpaper, re-drywall, repair walls and ceilings, as well as re-texture walls and paint throughout our old house. They are detail oriented and are not into ?cutting corners.? In our opinion, they do miracles. If we have questions, Mr. Halverson is very easy to reach. If there is a conflict, he and his crew are more than ready to find a resolution that is in our best interest. "I meant to write a review and never got around to it. I don't remember how I found Ron. I had water damage in finished basement. I did the demo myself of about 18 feet of wall and portion of ceiling and studs. Ron's friend Gary Murphy replaced the studs. Ron did the drywall. The drywall finish was not typical, yet he did a great job of matching. After painting by a pro it is impossible for one not familiar with the work to tell the wall was repaired."

"Harold was very personable. He provided an initial estimate for wallpaper removal, glue removal, the cleaning of the walls, priming, patching, and ceiling painting. He also made sure to explain to us at the time that there is some variability when working with wallpaper since the time it takes to remove wallpaper depends on the kind of glue that was used, how much of it, and the condition the walls are in after all the wallpaper has been removed. The completion of this portion of the job ran $250 over the estimate. However, when you take into account all the work we had done (see our total cost above), we felt that the difference between estimate and actual was still competitive and reasonable. After talking to others who have attempted wallpaper removal on their own, we decided it was money well spent.
As we prepared for the painting portion of the job, we were able to meet with a color consultant as part of our contract. Deb provided good tips and advice on color combinations to use so that the whole house could follow a general color theme. She was also very aware of upcoming trends. This was helpful since we wanted the color used for the nursery to also jive with the colors used throughout the rest of the home. While finishing the painting portion of the job, the Majic crew also took care of a large crack that ran along the living room ceiling. Overall, the paint looks like what one would expect from professionals.
I am pleased to say that our home no longer looks like a mid-sixties time capsule. We would use Majic again in the future.
