"I was surprised to see evidence of mice for first time! Blaylock's showed up soon and did a searching and thorough examination of the environment, interior and exterior. He was prompt knowledgeable and efficient. He very clearly has a lot of experience and skills in the area of pest control. He was a good communicator, and I feel went above and beyond in managing the problem, so it was completely eradicated. He was very encouraging and informative and helpful because I have never had this problem before. He came back an extra time because of my stress level and reassured me and did some extra checking to assure me things were progressing safely. He was aware of managing the environment to be safe for children, pets and other animals. I'm glad he's going to come back every two months for a very low fee. It's very worth it to me to continue to use preventative measures that are affordable and he's reliable. I highly recommend Stephen and Blaylock Pest control."

"I hired Bat Masters to exclude my bats. He was professional, knowledgeable, and did a thorough and neat job sealing up the house. Unlike some other excluders, his trap-vents are attractive (and later removed). He also uses invisible sealants where they are visible. He stands behind his work, is local, and knows his stuff. I recommend highly."

"Pest management specialist used enduring products to remove insects. All insects disappeared within 2 days and did not return for the rest of the season. Specialist provided recommendations for preventing insects from returning next season. Additionally, company did not try the hard press for a recurring service engagement, which seems to be the norm for most other pest management firms. Would hire this firm again."

"I initially called to get a quote on treating bugs i have been seeing and also to identify what they were.  I was able to send photos via email of the bugs and they identified them, which was great.  When they came to spray I told him the areas that we see them, which was the kitchen and both bathrooms.  The guy was very friendly and nice and did the job and left.  A few days later I saw more bugs and they came out the following Monday and sprayed some more.
The only thing that was confusing was that when the guy left he never gave me paperwork (an invoice) so I didn't have a record of what was done (I later found out they should have taken my email).  Other than that, it was fine.

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

A spider infestation happens when an unusually high and problematic presence of spiders occurs in a home to the point it becomes disruptive or poses a significant nuisance. If you notice an increase in spider sightings, numerous webs throughout the home, or see multiple spiders daily, it's likely you have an infestation. In cases where the types of spiders seen are venomous or medically significant species are present, the number of spiders is insignificant and would require pest control measures. On average, pest control costs between $300 to $550 for one-time service.

Carpenter bees do not make honey like honey bees, but they are still essential pollinators. In fact, they have a unique talent called "buzz pollination," in which they use the vibration from their wings to help release pollen from the flowers' anthers. Honey bees are also vital pollinators but do not use this process because they are too small and lack the strength required to buzz pollinate.

Gel bait and gel bait traps use poison to kill cockroaches, and aren’t safe to use around pets. Many gel bait traps are called “child-resistant,” but this only means that the traps are hard to rip open for children. Large pets and children are still able to swallow them. If you use gel bait, use it in areas where pets and children can’t access them, such as under a washing machine. Another option is to use glue traps, which don’t contain pesticides and are safe to use around pets.

Groundhogs have a strong aversion to powerful scents, including garlic, ammonia, vinegar, hot peppers like cayenne, and predator urine. Various herbs such as rosemary, lavender, basil, mint, sage, thyme, and oregano can also act as deterrents. You can strategically use these odors around your property by planting these crops near your garden and by the entrances to groundhog burrows. Commercially available repellents offer another option, and for best results, scent-based deterrents should be used alongside other preventive measures.

You should call pest control for cockroaches when you see two or more of these pests or clear warning signs of an infestation. Signs of an active roach infestation are roach droppings, dark smears on surfaces, roach eggs, foul odors, and shed skins. If you notice these unusual marks in your home, consider hiring a pest control specialist for an inspection.
