"Highly recommended. We needed our attic tested for Asbestos before putting new roof and insulation in. Todd returned my call immediately, patiently answered all of my questions and tested the attic next day. This was great, because the roof was going up 3 days later! To calculate how much siding you need for exterior walls, first measure the height and width of the rectangular walls. For the triangular gable walls, measure the width and then the height from the ground to the tallest gable point.

Once you add these up, include an additional 10% to account for any wastage.

You should use a siding nail gun for siding installation, but if you don’t have one you can use a framing nailer instead, if the nails are long enough to firmly attach to the clapboard siding. However, framing requires longer nails that join lumber together. In that instance, siding nails will not be enough.

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping.
