Another contractor bid the job at $12,000 after 3 site visits and almost a month. Andy came out to the house the same day I talked to him, and estimated the same job at half that price. Re-grading involved excavation of the old gravel (to lower the drive), removal of some large rocks which were encountered, and hauling away of all the excavated material.
