"Homero and the guys did an awsome job inside and out on all the painting and stain on our new build. They were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy with their work, which was Exceptional! What a blessing it was to find these guys! We will be recommending them to all our friends and family. Thank you Homero!"

"There was no interpreter when they came out for the job, which made things difficult. There was one for the estimate but not for the actual job time. They broke a switch plate and had to be asked to replace it. Also they stated they would clean some siding stains but did not perform that work and did not provide an explanation to me. Lastly, they did not call before coming out to paint, they just showed up with no warning! I would use them again but the rules and communication need to be much better!"

"Jeff was really good to work with. He was very helpful in the redesign of features of my very old bathroom. He was very good about consulting me with changes in the job that he would recommend or that were necessary. He always listened to my wishes and comments and followed through with them if adjustments to the job were needed. He worked closely with me and is very personable. I am pleased with the remodel. I recommend Jeff and his business to anyone wanting a reliable contractor who delivers on what he promises."

"It was a great experience, I was pleased with the time and price... Although for quality I needed to stand by and check frequently for the job to be completed as I wanted. I do have to say that I am a little picky when it comes to quality and I requested some doors to be repainted and it was done in a timely manner. I was pleased with overall job..."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.

If you have a smooth, already bonded concrete surface, painting a concrete pool deck can be a great way to brighten up the area and add longevity. If the surface has another covering or a different type of paint has been used previously, you won’t be able to paint it without removing the existing coating. Wooden decks benefit from painting as it helps to keep them watertight. Quality pool deck paints also help make the surface less slippery and less likely to gather mold and mildew or prematurely crack.

Two coats of stain are ideal for the best protection and aesthetic appeal. However, if your decking is made of particularly dense hardwood, you may only need one coat. If you want an intense color, two coats are ideal.

For homes in areas with extreme weather, high heat, or intense sun exposure, high-quality acrylic paint is the best option. Acrylic paint is durable, resistant to both heat and cold, and provides a protective barrier with excellent UV resistance. For best results, look for acrylics that contain natural earth pigments, which are better suited for resisting sun damage. While oil-based paint is also durable, it can be prone to fading in high heat and can become too viscous to apply easily in cold temperatures. Additionally, choosing a neutral or light color like gray, beige, or white can help, as these colors absorb less heat than darker shades.

Rags used with oil-based stains are highly flammable and can spontaneously combust in the right conditions. To reduce the fire risk, throw them in a metal container after use and add rocks on top to secure them. Add an inch of water and seal the container. Take the rags in the container to a hazardous waste factory as soon as possible.
