"Kevin came out quickly to give me a quote to replace my old bathtub and wall panels. He listened to what I was needing and wanting out of the project and he quoted me competitively with the other quotes I had received. I chose his quote because he was personable, flexible and the reviews of his previous jobs were excellent. I could tell he was trustworthy and very professional and he was able to start the project within 2 weeks. On the day of the project Saul and Luiz came on time and completed the entire remodel in one day. Amazing guys that do top notch, quality work. I am very pleased with how my new tub and shower look and I would definitely recommend them to anyone need a bathroom remodel."

"Project: replacing old tub with walk-in shower. The agent had great respect for the staff and workers who would be installing my shower. He provided us with examples of what we needed to look for with installation issues etc Installation to be scheduled for sometime in May. Yes, I would recommend this company."

"Virgil replaced an existing deck. He was an expert in the type of replacement material to use, and was an expert in detected rotted areas and rebuilding them in a very quality way. This, of course, required change orders to our existing bid. Virgil was fair and transparent with every change. He finished the job to perfection."

"Our project included removing tub, removing and replacing double shower, painting walls and ceiling, installing tile throughout, replacing kitchen sink, replacing light fixtures, plus. We could not be more pleased with the results and how the work went. The crew is great, always pleasant, never heard a curse word, cleaned up daily and worked efficiently. We are very pleased with Erika's tile installation- a perfectionist. This project took a little longer than expected but it went well and we will be hiring again in near future. We definitely feel comfortable recommending Paul Haugen Construction Company."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, $5,000 is a healthy budget for a DIY bathroom renovation. It can go a long way in making the space more accessible and stylishly spa-like. Providing you stick to modest materials and don’t make any major plumbing or structural changes, you can upgrade fixtures, retile, and add some stylish bathroom accessories and savvy storage solutions to maximize the space.

To keep a walk-in tub in good condition, clean it regularly with non-abrasive cleaners. It is also important to periodically inspect the seals, jets, and faucets to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Acrylic tubs are extremely durable and rarely chip or crack. Even when frequently used, tubs made with this material are largely resistant to damage. However, damage may occur as the tub ages. They can also crack from damage from heavy objects and cleaners or a lack of support.

Acrylic bathtubs can last up to 30 years without major issues if they receive the right care and maintenance. They can last even longer but might scratch or stain as they age. The expected longevity is a major factor when investing in a new tub. Cast-iron tubs are the longest-lasting option.

We don’t recommend using a tub liner to cover up cracks in a bathtub. Instead, you should repair the cracks yourself if you have the experience or hire a pro. Cracks may seem like small surface imperfections, but they can lead to much larger issues, so repair them as soon as you can.
