"They completed the job a week earlier than originally booked. They were easy to stay in contact with and very friendly. They were extremely considerate and careful of personal property. And best of all our house looks FANTASTIC! Truly fit for royalty (purple it is)."

"I was very impressed with Brandye’s attention to detail. I knew that our home needed a heavy spring cleaning and she took it on. After the first clean she was not satisfied that she didn’t get to everything. She asked to return the next day to finish. I am so happy that they came back. My home smelled so clean and I really did have sparkling sinks! Cleantastic is very accommodating and we now have our cleaning on a set schedule. Thank you Brandye and crew for taking on the cleaning and making our home easily to manage."

"From the very detailed proposal to the completed project I was totally impressed. Antonio and his team did an excellent job of painting the house and garden shed. I was kept informed throughout with detailed status of work completed and next steps. I was most impressed with the prep work (pressure washing, scraping, sanding and identification of areas requiring special attention) that was completed before the first paint was applied. This effort ensured a superior appearance when painting was finished. Not the lowest bidder but well worth the price!"

Cover Pro Painting started from my early passion for painting, and what began as a teenage job quickly grew into a business I launched at 20 years old. Since then, our team has brought more than 100 years of combined experience to projects of all sizes, always focusing on clear communication, attention to detail, and lasting quality.\n\nWe treat every home like it's our own, using premium products backed by strong warranties and making sure the details are done right. Along with painting, we also take care of siding replacement, rot repair, and carpentry work, so our clients can feel confident knowing we’ll handle the entire project with care from start to finish.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Your tool of choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many DIYers prefer applying stain with a lint-free rag, but others stick with a paint brush or a roller. Wipe the stain and work it into the wood, working with and against the grain. If you’re applying multiple coats, allow the stain to dry for around four hours between coats.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

Eggshell and satin finishes are best for porches because they sit in the sweet spot between scuffable matte and distracting high gloss. Your porch sees a fair amount of wear and tear, so you don’t want paint that’ll show every mark like matte, but you don’t want to be blinded by glossy paint in the sun either. Eggshell and satin have durability and a look that sits nicely in the middle.

You’ll want to avoid excessively hot or humid conditions, so it’s best to apply your stain in late spring to early fall. It's also important to watch the weather forecast and aim for days when there isn’t rain expected for at least three days. For new decks, allow the wood to season beforehand for at least four to eight weeks.
