They placed mats down to protect the floors. I had a large water bed in on room which the guys took care of and were willing to work around. "We replaced all the windows in our house (darn near 60!) along with 4 doors because it was time. We shopped the job around and Lake Washington came out on top not just with a fair price, but they had me convinced that they had the know how and logistics capability to pull the job off smoothly. Boy did they ever! Over the course of two weeks we got the pleasure of working with excellent crews (Denzel, Jordan, Ricky, Justin, Christiano, Andy, and a bunch more whose names I've forgotten) who made construction in my house as pleasant as possible. The install crews were extremely efficient, clean, and thorough - we were always able to live in the place at the end of the day, and every bit of install looks immaculate. These folks are truly some of the best that I've ever worked with to get something done in my place, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arose."

"HIired Serge Home Improvement, i for a partial remodel of the kids bath-new shower surround and flooring. During the time, I got the bid and he started work, the laundry room flooded and I asked if he could work on that too. Serge worked with the insurance adjustor and myself to bring the bid in at the insurance companies expectations. He had the laundry room up and running in a couple of days, with lovely new trim. This was a huge relief, as I had now washer for 2 weeks and laundry was piling up. Most of the bids I got for the bathroom work were in $15-$20K or more range. Serge's costs were reasonable and we agreed on what he'd provide and what I'd provide-tile and surround. When asked why the tub should be replaced he explained he wanted to make sure the plumbing was correct. He was right about that, the previous owner had "tiled" himself and done the plumbing. It was mess but Serge fixed it. Furthermore, he used lots of water proofing which gave me peace of mind as the kids splash like crazy. In 2 weeks, the bathroom was finished, and ready to use. I had him re-caulk my tub, and replace light fixtures in the dinning room and family room. It cost a small bit more than I budgeted, but having done remodels in the past I expected that. We are thrilled with the updated bathroom and new light fixtures. I a already discussing future projects with Serge. The best thing about Serge is his doesn't do mind doing projects on your house off and on. My previous contractor stopped taking my projects, because "projects to small and piece meal". Thankfully, Serge doesn't have that attitude."

"Sometimes when someone is the only game in town, you have to go with them. The workers did do a really good job installing this sky wall window and door. But one window in the sky wall was broken on arrival. And one of the pains in the sliding glass door was scratched. It took several months and a couple of more trips by them and time off by me to get this all fixed. It appears that Pella and Ply Gem don't have the quality control that is needed to prevent problems like these. I would probably hire Emerald City Energy again to get the window or door that I really want. But be aware that you may have to deal with some issues with there products."
