Benaro and his team were on time, so kind to me and my kids, efficient and left the house looking like they had never been there. Started the process end of August 2021 and windows were installed Feb. 4 2022. I guess it takes a long time now for Milgard to build windows so the delay isnt the contractors fault. Installation didnt go well. Seems there was a lack of communication between the person that bid the job and the installers. Arched windows need arched brick molding. The installers arrived with none. They had to reuse the arched part of the brick mold that they had split the ends when they tore it down to remove the original windows. I don't think they realized they were going to have to reuse it. They just put seal over the cracks and dents and called it good The crew worked hard to get the job done But there just didn't seem to be a plan for what was required. Not a 5 star job not a 1 star job. My wife says we will have to just live with it as she doesn't want everything torn apart again just to make it perfect. I think if the windows would have been square or rectangle the installation would have been 4 or 5 star. They say the plan to reuse the Brickmold is pure BS. My contract states "Brand new Brick mold" The vertical sides had so much dry rot i could push a screwdriver through it. If they planned on reusing it then why beat it out with crowbars and hammers and throw everything in a scrap pile? I would be carefull dealing with companies like this.

"We apologize for our errors on your project. No good excuse, our install team did not have the custom exterior arched brickmold trim when they arrived for install. As you pointed out in our multiple discussions since, they worked hard and completed the project. We offered to replace the trim ourselves, our even hire another contractor or compensate you to reinstall yourself since you have extensive construction experience. Those offers remain in place should you ever wish to address your trim issues. We are glad that the windows are the proper fit and they are "exactly" what you wanted, we again apologize we did not have our installers properly prepared to succeed as you rightly expected."

I got the 5 windows for $2500 deal but had a lot of customizations. Things went great, very pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and professional. I had to wait quite awhile for the install but was informed of the timeline in advance. I will definitely contact again to get the remaining windows replaced in the near future.

I did the up to 5 windows for $2200 sale. What a great sale. It took a few months to get the windows in, but that’s COVID’s fault. Everything went outstanding. Showed up early and identified that two (of the 5 ordered) windows I assumed needed to be replaced were actually pretty top of the line replaced by previous owners. My house was built in 1940 and it’s got character... and sooo many problems. He told me how much the other owners must have paid for the two nice ones and said there really wasn’t any need to replace 50-year windows. Taking his advice (and since I can only afford to replace one side of the house a year and I REALLY need siding SOON-the last owners did NOT know how to take care of cedar I could cry) I didn’t want the two windows to go to waste so he went around the house to find suitable sizes he could swap them into. With a little extra work (I don’t know what he did, it involved wood and drills and a screamy little hand saw is all I know) he got them in and now I have less windows to replace next year and a warmer house. Freakin fantastic. I asked about replacing the framework inside to make it more 1940’s and he offered suggestions and future help. It was either replace them or refinish them. I saw like 8 coats of paint of various colors, it looked like way too much work to sand and stuff and I’m a working mom, so no thankyouverymuch. Priorities, man. They were so fast, 5 windows in less than 3 hours and they are as good as they can be considering my house’s age and decrepitness (yes that’s a word). I adore my house, but it's like an abusive boyfriend, I keep hoping the pain of ownership will eventually stop... I just loveitsomuch. Even the horrid 1980’s remodeled master bath and the ungrounded plugs here, there and everywhere. Ugh. Kudos to McClendons for using this company. Good choice. They made ripping this window replacement band-aid off pretty painless.

This is the second time I have hired this company to replace older aluminum windows in my home. Both times it has been terrific! This time, Dillon was my installer and was extremely pleasant and professional. He finished the windows perfectly and on time just like the first time my living windows were replaced. I would not hesitate to utilize this company again, but I've run out of windows to replace. Next spring will be replacing some doors and they are my choice to do this.

The estimate and information we received were fair, prompt, and informative. Russ King did a great job in the estimates, and recommendations of the best windows and method of installation for our needs. Terry White was efficient and professional in the follow-up detailed measurements, which made for a fine fit of the windows. The replacement was done well. The installers were efficient and conscientious. They were mindful of details, and how the windows would look once they were installed. The installers did a good job of cleaning up.

Emerald City Energy did a great job installing and were very careful to comply with covid restrictions. They spent very little time inside my house, as most of the install was done from the outside.

Other than what felt like an extremely long wait between when we made our downpayment and when the work was finally performed, I would say it was a great experience. Nearly all of our old aluminum framed windows were replaced with new fiberglass windows. There were multiple crews involved - replacing 13 windows in 3 days. Everyone we met was super polite and professional. I was a little concerned about how much damage might be done to the interior window linings in the process but they exceeded expectations and provided a very clean installation. It all looks great. The crew even proactively recorded that one of the window panels was damaged during shipment. It will be replaced at no cost.

Emerald City did a A+ job earlier in the year when installing two wide bedroom windows and a new kitchen door in my home, so when it came time for the storm door (with a built-in doggie-door), I knew just whom to call. Communication and scheduling (Lixia) are professional and service (both on-site and when visiting the showroom) is great. I was able to choose my storm door from viewing it online and with a brief chat from the fellow (Mike?) without a showroom visit. I've worked with Tipton twice for my installations. He is dog friendly, which I appreciate, and an all-around peach. Emerald City gets my highest recommendation.

Very happy with the Milgard Trinsic windows we had retro-fitted into our home. Emerald City was great to work with: Eric (in sales) was responsive, and I never felt pressured. He took the time I needed to get comfortable and answered all my questions... which was important, as I retro-fitted my entire home: 28 windows -- NOT a cheap job. I got 3 detailed quotes from 3 different and reputable companies, and Emerald was the most competitive, offered a great warranty, and had solid online reviews. It's important to note that the windows themselves are only half of the equation: the installation is equally as important. Trevor (and Oliver) were great installers. I opted for both nail-flange AND pocket install methods, based on my home. I had a complicated (and large) garden window in our kitchen that Trevor did some customization to get it installed. Also, his finish work and caulking were top-notch and looked great. Trevor was patient with my questions, showed up everyday on time (5 day job), and cleaned the site each afternoon. Great crew, good company... very happy.

The installation was excellent! These guys definitely were experts and knew what they were doing! Since it took about 2 months from time I had ordered the door until it was installed I was VERY pleasantly surprised how well it went. I expected they would find problems since there was water damage and I had already had to have siding and other wood damage replaced last year. However, these guys were great and handled things when a problem was found to make sure the door could be installed correctly and would last a lifetime per their guarantee. Everything was measured and cut so all exterior and interior parts fit perfectly. Outside trim looks great and was caulked to ensure that it would resist any water damage from outside. The door is gorgeous and they did a great job of replacing interior trim they had to remove prior to install from old door, When they were done they cleaned up, removed all stickers from window on door, and even vacumned area. They went through door features, guarantee, and operation which is great since I now have a beautiful new door that I can close and lock! They were very professional and even handled interference from Bella, my new rescue dog from Texas. She loved them and gave them her best Texas greeting. They made sure she didn't get out of back yard through the gate they used to access work area! I will definitely be using them to get a new storm door for my upstairs bedroom and window for lower bedroom.

Sometimes when someone is the only game in town, you have to go with them. The workers did do a really good job installing this sky wall window and door. But one window in the sky wall was broken on arrival. And one of the pains in the sliding glass door was scratched. It took several months and a couple of more trips by them and time off by me to get this all fixed. It appears that Pella and Ply Gem don't have the quality control that is needed to prevent problems like these. I would probably hire Emerald City Energy again to get the window or door that I really want. But be aware that you may have to deal with some issues with there products.

The whole process was perfect. Estimates were easy and it never felt high-pressure to me. When they came to measure the three windows, they measured all the other ones I plan on replacing in the future, so I can just order when ready. Install was surprisingly fast and painless. I hired emerald city energy after obtaining 3 quotes. They were the lowest quote and also had the most responsive and knowledgeable sales rep. I am very pleased with the windows and doors, they are a huge improvement. However I ran into a lot of issues of timeliness with the ordering of the windows and installation. The windows took longer than estimated to arrive, and the installation company schedules so far out in advance that once I received notice of the delay, rescheduling resulted in a delay of an extra 4-6 weeks. They use an outside company for installation and the communication between the companies can be improved. It was difficult to figure out who was in charge and accountable for the project getting done. It was estimated to take 4 days, and it took business 7 days (plus a weekend). Some days the installers didn’t show up until late in the morning, and they worked very late into the night. They each blamed one another privately when making excuses to me about why the project was delayed. It always seemed like some other job was a higher priority than mine. One window was broken during installation, and they ordered a new one, but when it arrived about a month later, called to say they ordered the wrong design, so had to reorder again, and it ended up being 2 months from the initial date of installation until my project was complete. The value was good but I honestly think it would have been worth it to pay a little more for better service.

Just to clarify, for this job we needed help from our partner install crew and while we are 100% responsible in this situation for everything including communication, we definitely did not communicate as consistently as we would have liked when the product back order issues arose along with the broken window. Unfortunately with windows we sometimes get last minute alterations from our suppliers or a window breaks, and that wreaks havoc, impacting our schedules and/or causing it to take longer to finish then we planned. As a team we have reviewed your situation to make sure to avoid similar problems in the future. We have a reputation for outstanding quality so when something does not go right we are extremely diligent internally to learn from it and avoid it in the future. Again we apologize for definitely not performing as we should have, thank you for the feedback."

After extensive shopping and research, we selected Emerald City Energy for our new windows. Their price was excellent and the warranty that they offered on installation was superior to their competition. Not only that , but the sales agent that came to the house did NOT employ a hard sell and gave me a solid competitive price right away. (Unlike several nationally known competitors) He also worked hard to get my business, working with me on beating competitors' price. Emerald City's installer (who was a subcontractor, but works exclusively I think for Emerald City) arrived on time, both for the final measurement and for the install. The two man install crew was efficient. I especially appreciated that they were willing to work with me to make sure the windows were all working and sliding properly. The install was finished on or before the time stated in the contract and the crew cleaned up properly and disposed of the 14 old windows and all of the construction debris. I would call them again.

It went very well. They came at the appointed time to measure the window. We agreed on the features for the replacement window and set a time frame to install. They called and scheduled a day to install. At that point we ran in to a few problems. The installer found significant water damage in the wall around the window. They do not do that extensive repair work so they installed the window temporarily and we went looking for a contractor. Emerald was very patient and when the repair work was complete they returned an completed the installation. Very pleased with their work and the new window.

The window installation went well, no issues. Good quality windows and work - on time, efficient, and clean. And it made a huge improvement in the room temperature. We couldn't use the dining room because the old windows allowed all of the summer heat or winter cold into the room. Now it's very pleasant. It was like adding an extension to the house!
