"I just bought a new home and wanted to completely re-do the paint job it currently had. I also wanted to get some advice on color choices, palettes, and making colors work well with decorations, etc. Brian recommended a color consultant who walked me through selecting, what I feel, are the perfect colors for my new home. Despite a crazy storm, Brian seemed committed to completing the job to my satisfaction. I liked the work so much, I had him do the interior of my garage as well. I'd definitely work with him and his color consultant again."

"Ken came out within a couple of days of my contacting him to look at our house. A few days after that we had a quote in hand. The initial price was just a little over what another contractor quoted us but Ken applied an Angie's List discount and the price was right on. We chose Ken's because his contract was thorough, he explained things well and he was quick and easy to work with.
Ken's team was supposed to start at 8am Monday morning and they were sitting out front at 7:45 waiting to start. The foreman walked the exterior of the property with us and we talked about trim and paint. He made suggestions and we made a final plan within a couple of minutes.
The whole team got right to work sanding, caulking, taping, etc.. Everyone in our family headed out to their various locales for the day and I got an email from Ken at 2:30 letting me know that his painters would be done the same day. When we got home about 5pm the house was done, everything was clean and the painters were gone. The small equipment trailer stayed parked at the curb over night but was gone by the time we were up in the morning.
This being our first house painting experience, we were very pleased with the workmanship and ease of the job. We have had comments from all of our neighbors about how good our house looks and how professional the painters were when they were at our home.

"It was really good. Joe came out several times to check what kind of jobs were needed to be done. He's a great communicator and followed up immediately. The work was very detailed and whenever I had a concern or something that I did not like they addressed it right away."

"I phoned Frank Sr. and he said he could come out the next day for an estimate. Within an hour he called back to say we were nearby and that he could be here in about 15 minutes. He arrived on time and gave me a reasonable estimate. We agreed that his son would come and do the job the day after next to give me time to clear out the bedroom closet where the rain-damaged ceiling was. It was about a 6' x 4' hole. Frank Jr. arrived on time and immediately went about doing the work. He completely closed off the work area with paper and masking tape to protect the clothes that were in the other half of the closet. Frank Sr. then arrived to help out and within a short time they had closed the hole and taped and pasted the drywall. They said they would be back the same time the next day to finish and texture which they did. They were efficient, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I painted the day after they finished and I absolutely could not tell there had ever been a hole there, it was and excellent job and I highly recommend Frank's Drywall!"

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

To pair a unique sense of style with white walls, keep them well-decorated. Hang vibrant art or bold furniture to add color to the room. Add some texture and greenery to the space with plants. Choose accent pieces such as throw pillows or light fixtures with patterns. Having a white wall can be a plus as it allows homeowners to easily decorate their homes as they desire without worrying about clashing with the paint color.

Putting up new wallpaper tends to take one to two days, depending on the size of the area, whether old paper needs to be removed, and if there is any damage to walls that needs to be smoothed over or fixed.

The pros of wallpaper include its durability and longer lifespan than paint, as well as its versatility. The durability can translate to lower long-term costs for upkeep and replacement, and the versatility means you have more options for customizing rooms in your home. Some downsides include that it’s difficult to remove, it’s not ideal for rooms or areas exposed to high moisture content or sun exposure, and it’s tricky to install. A professional wallpaper hanger can help mitigate these issues, though, by installing it properly and in areas suitable for wallpaper.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.
