"They have now done two separate jobs on different occasions. Jobs consisted of preparing a floor for carpeting after a animal had ruined the previous carpet and wood. Also fixed my front door which was a little crooked so it stuck. I then called them back for drywall work after I had redid my plumbing. Excellent, professional work for both jobs. Well priced. Went above and beyond. Was also very nice and great to talk to. All around great work that I recommend. And I know we will have other projects for this company."

"We couldn't be happier in both cases. Tom is thorough, thoughtful and thoroughly professional. In both projects, modifications and a few changes were done along the way, and Tom's "can-do" attitude was very helpful and reassuring. He and his crew were prompt, hard-working and completely accommodating to our needs. Very much a pleasure to work with. We're already planning with Tom to do a re-do of our bathroom this spring.

"Salvadore has completed many projects for me including furniture assembly, mirror framing, TV mount, hanging wood blinds and curtains, installing bathroom fixtures and ceiling hooks. He is very professional and accommodating. He has a can-do attitude and brings every tool under the sun including a cool laser level. I will have him back for additional work soon."

"We were extremely pleased. The project turned out beautifully. In addition to the flat (PVC) roof, they put on a composite deck and a beautiful railing system that was a new product I had requested. It was complicated but they figured it out and honored their bid, even when it required more time to install than anyone expected. Their pricing was very fair and people excellent to work with. The owner, Mike, was responsive when I called and Sean, the foreman, did a great job, as did all the people who worked with him."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Pellet stoves are safer than wood stoves in many ways. They don’t produce as many creosote deposits as wood stoves do, they create less smoke, and the flames are contained, decreasing the risk of any sparks or embers creating a house fire. Pellet stoves also burn more cleanly and efficiently than wood stoves do.

Yes, an electrical fire can start even if nothing is plugged into an outlet. While a correctly functioning outlet poses no risk, a fire can be caused by faulty wiring, damaged outlet components, an overloaded circuit, or other electrical problems hidden behind the walls. If you suspect a fault, immediately turn off the circuit breaker and contact a professional electrician to diagnose and repair the issue.

Yes, it’s worth capping a chimney. Here are several reasons to install a chimney cap:

  • Keep out rain, snow, wildlife, and other debris

  • Help prevent chimney fires

  • Reduce your chimney’s exposure to moisture

  • Maintain your chimney flue liner

  • Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature

One of the best ways to know your chimney is good to go on any given night is to simply look up into your flue with a flashlight. If you see a thick buildup of creosote—a shiny, dark substance that looks like tar—it’s best to have your fireplace professionally cleaned before you go ahead with the burn. Additionally, having your fireplace professionally inspected once per year can also help increase your peace of mind and keep your family and your home safe.

The NFPA model codes and International Residential Code (IRC) mandate that all new one- and two-family homes have fire sprinkler systems. However, all municipalities are different. The best way to determine if your municipality requires fire sprinklers is to contact your state fire marshal’s office. One reason to install a fire sprinkler system is that it’s the first line of defense in putting out a fire and alerting your family of emergencies.
