Residential and business water treatment systems. Water softeners, UV lights. We will analyze your water for contaminants such as chlorine, low pH, iron, bacteria, and devise a system to suit your needs. Treat your water from the source, as it enters your home, so whether you are drinking it, cooking with it or bathing in it, your water is pure.

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

"I would definitely not recommend Akland Pump. During the purchase of our home, I ordered a 4 hour well test from Akland Pump. After 2 hours I received a call that said I was getting 15 gpm and didn't need to continue the other 2 hours. Later I found out the whole test was done on a spigot on the side of the house. The house has a 500 gallon holding tank with a pump so of course it is going to get a consistent 15 gpm. This was not disclosed to me until after the house was purchased that the well test was done on an outside spigot of the house. I also asked for the static level and was told well is too deep and would have to pull pump to get that information. This was our first home and first time dealing with a well so we did not know a lot about wells. We researched and found 15 gpm is decent. We continued with the purchase of the home. 1 month into the house the well began making noises. I had another company come out to take a look and they instantly told me I was getting 2 to 3 gpm. They also were able to tell me the static level without pulling the pump. They informed us that the pump was failing. I went to Akland to inform them of everything and long story short was told tough luck. We ended up paying $10,800 for a new pump and new check valves. Now the system is working at 10 gpm. We would not have purchased the home if the well test had come back at 2 to 3 gpm unless seller fixed the pump. Akland Pump did not do a proper well test and even admitted to not checking the static level knowing they could. Akland also installed an irrigation tank during the purchase of the home. I had asked for this to ensure that enough water could be supplied for landscape (Seller paid for this). Akland did the work but left a pile of rocks from the work they did. I had to show them pictures of their work and then they came back to level the ground. While they installed the irrigation tank, they asked my neighbor to borrow a shop vac. Akland Pump returned the shop vac dirty and full of water."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

Both can deliver clean water to your taps, but well water and city water carry a few differences. City water is delivered and connected through a main water line, and it travels through a network of underground private and public pipes to service various buildings and structures once it’s been treated.

Well water is derived from dug or drilled wells that source groundwater from the water table. City water is often more expensive than well water, but it eliminates the need for you to test and treat your own well water.

If you notice that your well pump runs continuously, it’s important to take action quickly to avoid further damage. A few common issues may be to blame for a continuously running well pump, such as mechanical damage, a faulty pressure control switch, low water level, prime loss, and leaking pipes and fixtures.

Oversizing a well pressure tank won’t hurt your well system. Larger tanks result in longer and slower pump cycles and consequently fewer startups and longer runtimes, which means the tank may have better longevity. The only drawback to oversizing is efficiency since larger tanks tend to cost more and take up more space.

Well pump repair might be covered by your homeowner’s insurance, but it’s typically not. If the damage results from a major storm in your area, flooding, a fire, or some other natural catastrophe, then you should consider filing a claim for the damage. However, if the issue is the result of an aging well pump, your policy will very likely not cover the repair cost. In either case, you should hire a well pump professional inspect your well pump, and then use that information to decide whether or not you should file a claim.

The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
