"I hired Clean Image on work on May 1, 2024 to fulfill their bid proposal at a cost of $2,700 and change. They arrived promptly at 9:00 am and began working, continuing until approximately 7:00 pm. Once they were gone I started inspecting their work hoping to be duly impressed by their efforts. Unfortunately, I started noticing issues immediately; the cap to the door side water connection was broken off and discarded under the trailer. There were scuffs to the striping and tears in three places. I notified Steve Hathaway the next morning when he arrived and pointed out the damage. “Repairs” were performed on May 9th after I had paid the invoice. A piece of white vinyl tape was slapped haphazardly over one tear as a repair. The water connection was replaced without caulking the edges, as the original had been sealed. When I went to seal the fitting myself, I found all four screw holes stripped out. I repaired the holes and sealed the fitting."

Two of the biggest mistakes with drywalling are not measuring (and therefore buying the wrong amount of drywall) and trying to install drywall yourself. Lower temperatures and higher humidity can extend the curing process beyond 72 hours, while high heat and zero humidity can shorten the curing process. However, thinset can crack if it dries too fast.

Drywall does not necessarily need to be glued to the ceiling, especially when it is properly screwed or nailed into place. Drywall is typically attached to the ceiling joists using screws or nails, ensuring a secure and stable drywall installation. 

However, in certain situations where additional adhesion is required, construction adhesive can be applied in combination with screws or nails. This is often done for ceilings with specific acoustic or insulation requirements. It's essential to follow local building codes and best practices to determine if adhesive use is necessary for your specific project.

Deciding whether to repair or replace drywall can be tricky, but your top considerations should be the extent of the damage and what caused the damage. For instance, if you need to repair a small hole caused by a doorknob that hit the wall, you can safely patch it without a second thought. However, if you have significant drywall damage caused by water damage, it’s best to thoroughly remove the drywall to inspect and repair the pipes behind it before replacing it.

You shouldn’t leave drywall outside overnight, especially if you live in a wet or humid climate. The moisture from humidity, rain, or other elements can damage the drywall, making it weaker and susceptible to mold growth. Stash any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements to protect it from moisture.
