"Window and roof cleaning service was great, and they started and finished the job ahead of schedule. Office was very unprofessional when I requested to use an Angie's List coupon that is still available online. Home Team denied the request. I indicated this would be reflected in my reviews, and one representative told me it would be honored. A later email response said they would not and that it is the responsibility of the customer to inquire about coupon validity before scheduling a job. I do not really agree. Ultimately, the work was still great. [*** Link removed ***]"

"It was completed a year ago, and it looks new and has held up perfectly. This is a review that you would want to take for face value because I have had time to see if there were any quality issues in the end product, within a year or so - there are zero. I will also hold no punches when I review. The price point is exceptional for his quality services. For TV and his crew, I am grateful to meet such hard workers who take pride in their work, including one of his boys who assisted on my project. TV has rules which they follow which keep them all highly professional, such as not asking to go inside the house for anything, etc. Wish I had a more and bigger properties to keep working with them. TV got the bid because of his depth of knowledge in the process to make what my requirements tangible, and he is laid back not trying to pressure decision like the others I ran into. Out of the 5 contractors called, 4 showed up. He was punctual for me, even stayed to sun down to pressure wash; saw some rated him down??? He was the only contractor who wanted to talk about use of re-bar, to ensure the walkway would not dip, sink or twist. I have seen this happen in a few houses included my parents, when I was a teenager. He also didn't just pour slabs, the walk way and patio extension has a really nice spline. He confirmed the curvatures with me; but I let him know by then that I would trust him. Additionally, he noticed the concrete slab stair to the patio from the house, it had drop off from the sides of about 18"; he said it would be a safety concern for my kids and wanted to add to the stair to have it wrap around. My boys enjoy sitting on the stair ledges and I don't have to worry about the drop off. I hope you all receive this same level of work. If there is one recommendation I would make it would be for his crew to consider the use of the Concrete Mixer's slide/boom, because all that work with the wheel barrow makes my back hurt just thinking about one run. Thank you TV and crew - I hope all is well!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

The disadvantages of sandblasting are noise, mess, and risk. Sandblasters are louder than chainsaws and spread debris on the ground and through the air. Let your neighbors know that you're sandblasting so they can prepare. Sandblasting can damage your property if not done properly, so thoroughly vet any pros you talk to before hiring.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.
