"Great work, reasonably priced and professional! We had them fix a rusted cap and pan on top of chimney that we learned about after seeing black soot line on our siding. It did take a week for the materials to come in but that's not their fault and they did set expectations with us about the delay. They were quick and efficient. I highly recommend their work."

"They arrived on the date promised. This was probably more difficult than most jobs they do since it was inside the wall, but it was still completed in the same day along with a second job, installing a new exhaust duct for our hot water heater. We were very pleased with how well they kept the dust down. This is very dirty work, don't be deceived, but they tried to keep it down as much as possible. They helped with moving some furniture, laid down drop cloths, put up plastic to seal off the living room where they were working and cleaned up afterwards. Best price we found for doing this job. I can't speak to whether his prices are the lowest, but he doesn't charge a Franklin Mint! Good job, good price, good, hard-working crew. He made sure the job was done to our satisfaction when they completed. (I had to reschedule with him once, Chris was very gracious and accommodating) This is one of the FEW reputable contractors I have dealt with in Washington State. I would not only Absolute Chimney again, but recommend to anyone needing this kind of work done. Highly recommended!"

"Home inspection revealed water damage to our brick chimney.  I was concerned about possible damage to my metal roof during a repair job. Jake Stern gave me a reasonable estimate and described the precautions he would take to protect my metal roof.  He and the crew showed up on time, installed scaffolding, covered the roof with blankets and plywood, tore the chimney down to the roof line, hauled away all the old brick, and rebuilt the chimney back it back to its original height with new brick. The replacement brick matches the old brick perfectly. They also also installed new shoulder caps lower down on the chimney.  The crew cleaned up after the job and left the yard and garden in perfect condition.  I'm very happy with the work and would hire them again.

"Agron evaluated our roof and how it was a poor quality job from the original construction. He offered us options including a simple fix (which due to the original construction probably wouldn't last) or to replace that section of the roof with a proper installation. We opted for the proper installation and it looks great and we feel good for that area of the roof (other areas could still be a problem as he noted, but we will deal with those areas as needed). They were also great at cleaning everything up and making sure we were satisfied with the state of the yard (after some bushes had slight damage). Overall I was very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again if we need roof work."

"Matthew did solid work and did it quickly. He worked alongside a separate roofing contractor and came back to finish painting newly exposed areas after the other contractor finished.
The only minor quibbles that I have are that he said he won't have the time in the near future to do some other work that needs to be done (such as replacing a piece of siding); that I needed to perform a bit of additional cleanup on the back door due to incomplete masking; and that I would have liked for more nails to be into the siding (something that we discussed a few times beforehand but that I may not have been clear enough about). These were not enough to justify a lower grade.

"Faced with the decision to finally replace our roof, we got several bids. Jordan made it a point to understand our needs and were on top of scheduling. Pleased with all aspects, from 1st estimate visit, to the install and the final inspection."

"I'd advise anyone wanting to hire Honey Do to read through the responses this company has made to negative reviews on angieslist.

The guy doing the work (Yuriy) overslept and was a couple hours late arriving. John let us know about the glitch. The work was done well. I think  the guy doing the work dawdled a bit, but it was hot and I completely understand he might have needed to take a couple breaks. He wasn't the most congenial person I've dealt with, but he was also quitting smoking and working in the heat so under the circumstances this was also understandable.
The bigger issue here was that I emailed John multiple times about this job (6 times according to my mail client). He never responded. When I finally decided that my emails must be getting sent to his spam folder (as he's alleged in other responses to complaints) and called him, he knew exactly what work I wanted done. At this point I thought to myself, "Ok, that's a little odd, he must just be really busy, got the emails, but hadn't responded yet.". He promptly got me a rough estimate for the  projects I was proposing and scheduled Yuriy to come out and install the awning and give everything a once over to make sure the other estimates were accurate.
At the end of the day Yuriy told me that everything looked good and that I should schedule them to come back out once all the pieces for the other projects arrived. I received an email from John later that afternoon confirming that he'd talked to Yuriy and that the 2 additional projects of installing the banister and moving the washer/dryer looked like they'd be the same as estimated pending some photos he hadn't gotten yet. I was impressed at his quick response.
We left on vacation and by the time we got back a week later our banister had arrived; I emailed Jon to let him know and asked when they'd have time in their schedule to fit us in. By the time I checked my email the next day I'd received 2 emails. The first chastised me for not replying to his missive after the awning was installed, the second for not responding to the first email. Something about the tone rubbed me the wrong way especially after the earlier trouble I'd had emailing him, so after considering, we decided to discontinue our working relationship with HoneyDo. I would expect a professional at this point to reply with a terse "I'm sorry you feel that way" or not reply at all. Instead we got a condescending message full of words in caps emphasizing that he had never received ANY of my earlier emails, that maybe I misspelled his name or they ended up in the spam or trash, which would be completely credible except that (as I mentioned before)  he had known what work I wanted done when I called him so he must have received at least one of the emails I sent.
So that was my experience. I'd recommend these guys if you need straight-forward fix-it stuff taken care of, but I can easily see working on a larger project turning into a nightmare."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.
