"STAY CLEAR FROM MARAY & EAGLE RENOVATIONS!!! They are extremely rude and unpleasant to work with, they will way overpromise and under-deliver. They also do not have enough knowledge but claim to be in business for over a couple decades. We learnt it the hard way through our remodeling project worth thousands of dollars, and it was too late when we learnt that Marray never knew what asbestos abatement is and the laws around it despite being a realtor. I wonder how many previous customers and her own crew she would have put in danger before this. Despite committing to take care of asbestos before the positive test results, she flipped at the last minute and refused to pay saying it was not part of the contract. Later, even if we paid 50%($$$$) during signing (3 months before start) she never ordered the countertops we chose back then and at last minute waited for 4 days for telling us that she couldn’t get those which resulted in us having to choose different countertops, and also another weeklong delay on the top of initial week delay due to asbestos abatement. She initially did all the sweet talking and later didn’t keep her words and was so very rude with absolutely no sense of customer serving attitude. While bidding she mentioned on multiple occasions that her crew will work through weekends as well to meet 2 weeks’ timeline, but that never happened, and we were forced to find last minute accommodations (Airbnb). Any obvious, slight detail missed from the contract was held against us at the end and the job was left incomplete. For example, “add missing exterior siding” on our contract obviously meant adding and painting the patch with exterior paint (nobody wants an unpainted patch of siding!), she verbally told us that she’ll paint the area but left it undone citing “painting” was not part of written contract and many other little (not so expensive) things like that (Half bath with no door lock, exhaust fan etc). So please make sure you get everything written, down to the ‘T’ if ever decide to hire her. Her contract document is mere one pager with no details. At the end we were left with really bad test because she falsely accused us of not wanting to pay her final dues and threatened us with putting lien on our house if we did not pay her within next couple hours when there were still lot of finishing work to be done. They also left the place extremely dirty for which we then had to hire cleaners (another obvious thing)"
