"Mr. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry that you felt the inspection process was rushed. I would be happy to discuss with you further the items that the General Contractors "deemed were not accurate". I would also welcome any thoughts of why you felt that the inspection was "not thorough enough". We typically hear that we are too picky and too thorough. The cost of the inspection was $555 not $600 as you describe. The house was also almost 4 stories tall on the front side and about 4300 square feet! There were multiple furnaces and water heaters. You did have to hire someone with a drone to fly the roof to inspect for damage. We reviewed the photos and videos at no charge to determine if there was any damage to be concerned about. We feel that this is a fair price for this size house. We now have a DRONE of our OWN that we can fly up on high roofs to do our own inspections for future houses. We wish you and your family well in your new home."
"I am not sure if this got posted to the correct company or not. We do not have a "Chris" that works here. $450 is not one of our price points as well. I wouldn't want another inspector to miss out on any accolades for a job well done."
"We are not sure that this review was properly placed under the right company. We here at Inspections by Jesse do not currently have any female inspectors. I wouldn't want another inspector to miss out on the accolades for doing a good job."
For each appointment, Jesse and Matt arrived several minutes early, which gave me a chance to discuss possible concerns and items to watch for during the inspection before walking into the house with the selling agent. They set up their laptop with a surface protector and brought refreshments for us, which was a great touch. Jesse then proceeded to inspect the property, radioing his findings in to Matt, who recorded them on the laptop.
Among standard tools, they used a moisture meter and a FLIR camera. After they completed the inspection, they walked me through the itemized list (separated into major concerns, safety items, and repairs) in person.
Both Jesse and Matt were very knowledgeable and thorough in their work. They were able to explain to us why something was wrong, how it got that way, and how it should be fixed. This helped guide our decisions for purchase as well as how much to request for re-inspection.
We would both highly recommend Inspections by Jesse for home inspections.
The builder we bought from builds high quality homes, but nobody is perfect and Jesse found problems that I would never have considered. He spent 2 hours examining every nook and cranny, in crawlspaces, attics, and rooftops. He has a keen eye for detail, and goes well above the average home inspector. He clearly works hard, taking on a full day of inspections, and returns home where he churns out detailed reports for his customers. I received the report that same day around 11 pm--he's clearly working long hours. And with just 3 inspections a day, it's obvious he puts serious time into each one. I felt that for the fee he charged ($500), I got more than my money's worth.
We picked a crappy day for the inspection - it was 45 deg and pouring rain, but Jesse was still on the roof, poking around outside, etc. Nice work!
