Sunny & Steve are exemplary in the real estate business. Every consideration was taken in a stressful process of purchasing a home, especially when multiple bids are flying in. They tirelessly fought to get us this bank owned home for our 88 yr. old mother. As the property butts up to our backyard, it was a perfect fit to move her up to WA. from CO. to be near family.
The rub came in when we lost the bid due to funny circumstances beyond their control. As per our other home buying experience with these two, top notch service was the norm. They kept at the listing agent, keeping in touch with her through the other buyers inspection, etc. The due diligence of Sunny & Steve bagged the house for us. The first buyers backed out after inspection of which they were immediately on it within minutes; then a call to us to make an offer. We purchased the home for $15K less than our original offer! Again, there were multiple offers on this home.
I credit most of this experience to the Elston's since they were relentless in pursuing the property for us.
I like to think that people we hire are in our best interest & will work hard for us, but that frequently is not the case. Sunny & Steve are different. An extremely honest approach with respect for all involved has been their forte. As mentioned, they helped us get our current home so it was a natural choice for us to use them again since we could not have been happier with their service.
Any negative comments from Sunny on a real estate transaction is her being totally honest about a particular situation. After all, isn't that what we want & expect?

We were first-time homebuyers looking for a house in Bothell. After months of looking for a home in an extremely competitive market, Steve helped us purchase our house. Through the process we had smart guidance on things we would have never thought of in terms buying a house on our own. He really showed professionalism and attention. We felt they did a great job looking out for us, kept tabs on potential snags and were very responsive when there were any issues, concerns or questions. I was a first time home buyer and went to Sunny since she had an office near me and had recent sales in my area. I got a good vibe and she seemed to figure out pretty quickly what kind of home I wanted. She and her husband took me around to several interesting houses over the course of a month and a half.

I quickly valued her opinion since she would point out hard-to-see positive aspects and would readily point out things about houses that made them a terrible buy. She never pushed anything, which was something I was a little worried about when I first started meeting real estate agents. In fact, for most homes we'd visit, Sunny would downright say she disliked it and would walk through all the reasons why (overvalued for the location, hard to remodel in the future, etc). She clearly had experience with remodeling, plumbing, design, and just about everything I don't know about real estate. During two inspections she pointed out some things that the inspector had missed.

She found me a fantastic house that hit a good price point and is wonderful all around. I was happy with her responsiveness and her (and her assistant's) great work closing. I had experienced a snag with the lender, as seems to happen a lot, and she passed all the paperwork around to extend the closing date without me having to worry much about it.

Her rates were comparable to other agents I looked at and based on my experience it was worth it.

We spent about 8 months looking for our ideal house. She never complained spending her weekends with us looking at 7-8 houses a day. During negotiation she was very supportive and reasonable.

Went very well. It was a short sale and Sunny was all up front about length of time and all details involved. she walked us through the whole purchase -  even though she was sellers rep. We did not have an agent, just happened to see home for sale.

Always available to show me homes even at 9:30 pm. She found the professionals to complete tasks that were needed before showing the home.

Had refinanced & had used the equity beforehand. She handled my short sell from start to finish & actually made me happy about the whole thing.

I have worked in real estate offices for many years. Sunny is the best agent i have ever known. She listed a home for me and went the extra mile in all directions to sell & close the deal.
