"Scheduled to time to meet was December 6 between one and four . Nobody showed up and nobody called . After I called pro services they offered to reschedule a week later . I told them that would be unacceptable and so they rescheduled for the next day between one and four . Two young men arrived at the door and proceeded to clean out the woodstove and the chimney through the wood stove access. I had mentioned to them that I needed a rooftop inspection as rain was getting into the pipe . They only got up on the roof when they realized that eventually the wire brush was going to poke the cap off ( which of course it did). In the end I did end up with a clean wood stove but never felt that we got much of an inspection and this was an important part of the service I expected. After writing the check they left without informing me concerning the results of an inspection . I only paid $50 and probably got what I paid for . I would not consider using their service in the future ."

"I got my chimney cleaned by a company recently, and they did a really good job. The guys showed up right on time and were super friendly. They knew their stuff and told me everything they were doing, which was cool. They worked pretty fast and made sure the whole chimney was spotless. They even cleaned up after themselves, so I did not have to deal with any mess. I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs their chimney cleaned."

"I received a call to schedule a time to discuss the project. The project was to seal the brick, install a chimney cap, and seal where the flashing met the roof. The job was completed as soon as was possible taking into account the weather. I was provided with pictures of the before and after work done on my chimney. I was pleased with the work that I saw and the level of service I received."

"I was impressed with how courteous the installers were. They explained what they were doing. They found a cheaper easier way to run the pipe and they cleaned up after themselves. The office contact woman was amazing. Got back to me immediately when I had questions even after hours. Offered to postpone install due to covid19 virus issue. The man who estimated has over 30 years experience and used to be a firefighter so left me feeling I made the right choice. He was relaxed and shared his knowledge with no hard sell. A previous company tried to sell me on vent free fireplaces which this man informed me would be banned in a couple months due to emission issues. I thought they would have looked better as they go into existing fireplace and look natural. But they are not efficient heating units and possibly dangerous. Cascadeâ s units are enclosed with blowers to dispense heat. They are square and sit a bit out of my fireplace which is a curved adobe style. Not as cool as having a log burning in the open fireplace but a lot more efficient and safe. I have airbnb rentals and was not comfortable letting guests have a natural fire that is open. My insurance company actually asked we forbid fireplace use. This unit will heat the entire apartment eliminating need for space heaters. I Felt like Cascade helped me dodge a bullet from another company trying to dump their inventory before the ban. The cost was high to convert 2 fireplaces to sealed gas units but the units are attractive and solved the issue of having to do expensive chimney and box repairs in order to have wood fires. Also solved the fact we never used them cause it was too much of a pain to go get wood and tend it. Now.... flip a remote and voila fire and heat all in a sealed unit and you donâ t have to worry a guest will try to cook shmores in the fire."

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Pool repair costs come in all shapes and sizes, just like pools. Understanding the potential costs involved in repairing a pool can help you prepare your budget appropriately. Some of the most common pool repairs include:

  • Draining, refilling, and fixing leaks: $520–$4,060

  • Repairing the filter pump motor: $50–$300

  • Repairing the skimmer: $50–$300

  • Pump replacement: $700–$1,300

  • Drain repair: $400–$700

  • Beam crack repair: $75 per linear foot

  • Heater repair: $160–$730

The recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) for cleaning vinyl siding can vary, so it's best to consult the manufacturer's guidelines. Generally, vinyl siding can handle high pressure, from 2,500 to 3,500 PSI. For comparison, more delicate materials like wood and aluminum siding should not face more than 1,500 PSI. To safely disperse the pressure on vinyl, use a tip with a wider spray span, such as a green (25-degree) or yellow (15-degree) nozzle. For routine cleaning of light dirt, a garden hose with a spray nozzle may be sufficient. Always exercise caution to avoid using excessive pressure that could damage the siding.

Avoid pool liner wrinkles by moving slowly as you attach the edge of the liner to the pool wall. Add a few inches of water during this process and slowly walk from the center of the pool to the walls, lightly pressing the liner as you go. For an in-ground pool with a beaded liner, you can also use a wet-and-dry vac to suction out the remaining groundwater and air between the liner and the pool foundation.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

It’s a good idea to call in a pro to fill in your pool, because there are many potential hazards to doing it yourself. Unless you’re careful, you can damage your septic tank, plumbing pipes, and sprinkler lines. It’s also possible to damage your sewer connections, utility lines, driveway, landscaping, and sidewalk.
