"Nathan was a joy to work with. He was very helpful with ideas to iinstall new outdoor light fixtures and gave us different options to replace older patio motion sensors which we immediately ordered. He offered to return and install them in a timely fashion. I will definitely recommend Harts Services to my neighbors and friends."

"Kris, the owner, was really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in setting it all up. The bid came in about $3,000 cheaper than from a well rated competitor. Ken and Sofi did the work in 1 1/2 days. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. They explained their work nicely. They worked well with the inspector and the line crew from Seattle City Light They cleaned up everything nicely. We are very happy with the work and hope to use Ion Electric again for a remodeling project."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.

If half of a string of Christmas lights is out, it is likely because of a single burned-out, loose, or broken bulb within that section. Long strands of lights often contain more than one circuit, so when one bulb fails, it can cause the entire circuit (or half the strand) to go dark. To fix this, inspect the unlit section and test each bulb to ensure it is tight and functioning properly. Replacing the faulty bulb or repairing a damaged shunt will typically solve the problem.

Yes, most services include testing the system after repairs. Confirm with your provider.

Outdoor lighting repairs typically take between 1-3 hours. The exact duration can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the ease of access to the lighting fixtures and wiring.

A motion detector light may need to be reset due to a number of technical issues. These can include faulty or misadjusted sensors and burned-out bulbs. You may also need to reset a motion sensor after an electrical surge or a power outage, as these can change a light’s settings and cause it to function differently.
