Wu Construction replaced the posts/ piers and placed new concrete pads on top of the existing to raise them above the dirt. I had some questions and Victor Wu followed up with me. "These guys were great, and the owner, Jo Estrada, a pleasure to work with. A crew of 5 spent 5 hours cleaning, inspecting, and replacing insulation and vapor shield in our crawl space. They took pictures of everything, before and after. THe crew was pleasant, and worked really hard.... couldn't believe how much stuff they removed from under there. "I have a 1906 cottage in N Seattle, with an old porous foundation. Water came into the basement for the first time in 20 years. Another contractor bid the job at $12,000 after 3 site visits and almost a month. Andy came out to the house the same day I talked to him, and estimated the same job at half that price. He followed up with questions, asked about making another visit, came out again and saw that the drainpipe was disconnected at the top of the area being flooded. 75% of the roof's water was pooling against the house. He found a ladder and fixed it and isn't charging me a dime. So, no French drain, no Delta drain, no foundation treatment, no 50' of trenching, no $$$. Andy was timely, reliable, did what he said, and knows his stuff. He was a great communicator, and I feel so so lucky to have found him."

"John and Tim were able to work us into their schedule quickly and did more than I asked for. They sawcut and removed concrete, excavated, formed and poured an extension to our RV parking area. The pour included an 8-inch high curb that serves as a little retaining wall. They are hardworking and demonstrated integrity. I wet-cured the slab under plastic for a week. Although concrete finishers often neglect to recommend this, it will greatly improve the strength and durability of your project."

"We had a tricky leak that needed tracking down. We could hear it, but not see it. Our usual plumber was not available, so found Schmitty's on AngiesList and called. Thankfully, he was available to come out that afternoon, and after some detective work we finally narrowed down the area. It was evening by then, so he brought Trace out first thing in the morning to dig under the foundation and expose the leak. Between the two of them, they solved the issue... which turned out to be not one, but four pinholes in the copper pipe underneath the cement slab foundation. Brian said it might be the trickiest soldering job on the least amount of available pipe (1/4") in a very tight area in 20 years. Their pricing was reasonable and fair for an emergency service.
