"I can't recommend this company/Attila enough. I was moving to a newly purchased house where the previous owners broke a window in the garage (and didn't fix it). I needed to have the window fixed in the sliver of time between when I took possession of the house and when I moved in -- and our closing got delayed. Attila was so calm (I was very stressed out) and accommodating. Yes, it was a simple job but it was an important one that was done well and with minimal added stress to me. After I moved in I asked for ideas about how to add screen doors to the french doors because I have indoor only cats that I didn't want to get out. He had some great ideas (and ones which were most cost effective than mine), promptly ordered and installed the screen doors (with special pet screening). When it comes time to replace my living room windows I will be giving him a call because not only does he do quality work, he is very professional and a very nice guy."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"We had an attic that needed converted to a proper bedroom in a 1938 home. We had gutted the room ourselves, re-framed areas and had spray foam insulation installed prior to R3's arrival. No matter what was done our house is NOT square in ANY room. We had trouble getting bids after contractors from several companies came out from HomeAdvisor and Angie's List. We seemed to have to chase companies for bids. We believe this may have been due to the rise in projects due to Covid. They came out to see/measure and then no bid. Once we got bids we chose our contractor- R3. R3 dealt with this job with quality and timely work. Roger and Maria were friendly and used Covid guidance practices (huge importance as I am immune compromised) Roger made suggestions for areas of particular concern (window and cubby areas) When the drywall was first hung I was nervous as you could really see how out of whack the room was. They REALLY had their work cut out for them. I honestly could not go up until it was complete with texture as I was so concerned. When all the taping/texture was on there it was like they had used a magic wand! Their expertise was just AMAZING! Everything was smooth and appeared level. When the job was complete the house was left tidy- not a small feat in our home with where they were working and our floor plan. We will be hiring them for more jobs in the future!!"

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Some hardware or specialty window stores in your area may repair damaged screens, but it’s less time-consuming, more convenient, and potentially more affordable to hire a screen repair technician to come to your home to do the work on-site. The screen technician will have the tools and experience to get the work done the same day, and they can inspect other screens while there to help avoid repeat repair costs in the future.

While the telltale signs can vary for different types of screen doors, it may be time to learn how to install a screen door if you're noticing rotting, warping, or splintering accompanying the sagging. If you’re unsure whether to replace a sagging screen door, consult a local screen door pro for an inspection and final decision.

Installing a basement window generally takes a few hours, assuming there are no structural issues you need to resolve first. If you’re a novice DIYer, the project could take longer; on the flip side, a licensed and trained window contractor may be able to replace multiple basement windows in the time it takes a homeowner to replace one.

Most window screens last for about 10 to 12 years, assuming they are made from quality materials and receive proper care. The lifespan of common materials like fiberglass and aluminum can vary based on weather exposure, as constant sun or harsh winters can accelerate wear and tear. Regular cleaning and basic maintenance can help extend their life. Signs that a screen needs to be replaced include rips, tears, brittle or sagging material, fading, or a bent frame. While small tears can often be repaired, larger areas of damage typically mean it's time to replace the entire screen.

Window screens can help keep some heat out of your home, which is one benefit of using them in summer. It’s also the reason experts suggest removing your screens in winter—so it’s easier for the sun’s warmth to filter into your home. This will keep you cozier and potentially reduce your heating bills.
