"Excellent, very well constructed French drain and re designed planting area using stone block, and cleared the top layer of clay loam and spread the right topsoil and rototilled sand to allow proper drainage prior to laying the the Fescue sod. They got all of this done in two days, friendly, professional. Kurt and his family were wonderful and I highly recommend them for your excavation, landscaping, drainage management projects. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful front yard that we can enjoy for years to come."

"Jared was very kind and professional through the process of clearing our lot and giving us a clean slate to work with after the fire. He definitely went the extra mile to ensure we were happy and comfortable during his time working with us. 10/10 would hire again. Thank you Jared!"

"Lason was great. We had to battle the issues posed by the COVID-19 quarantine, but once on track he was quick and professional throughout. The cost was competitive and we would certainly utilize his services again."

"It went very well. It has been working just great and I didn't have to replace it. He was very helpful and I now have hot water. The woman on the phone I spoke with seemed very helpful as well. I will call them when I need a new water heater. I only had to pay for a service call and 2 small parts which is great."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Several government-backed lending programs can help first-time home buyers purchase a home with little money down. FHA, USDA, and VA loans are options for qualifying borrowers, though many conventional mortgage lenders will lower down payment rates to as low as 3 percent.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.
