Small jobs welcome

"Excellent, Efficient, and Alex listened! Every thing was fixed! He fixed our closet and the job was more than we anticipated and he mounted our headboard to the wall in our master suite. I asked and received his business card! Alex was professional and very courteous. Thank you Alex and Angi’s list!"

"Amazing - everything I need was accomplished, plus things (e.g. caulking, door stops) that I had missed. They were on time, easy to work with, cleaned up everything (including other little messes). They will be my first call when I need help again"

"Vadim did an awesome job! We had an odd door opening that we wanted to add double doors to. Vadim was kind enough to pick up the doors for us and then worked all day to make the standard doors fit our odd opening. He was very professional. Always on time. Great at communication and I felt his estimates were very reasonable. We've already hired him for another job and intend on contacting him in the future for any more carpentry needs we might have."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

It's not a good idea to drain an aboveground pool into your yard since the pool water's chemicals can harm your plants and the surrounding ecosystem. Instead, it's best to drain the pool into an appropriate sewer so it can be processed at a water treatment plant. You might also be able to drain it into your storm drain, depending on your region. Check with your city to learn about any relevant regulations.

Losing some water from splashing and evaporation is normal. However, if you notice a rapid drop in the water level or are adding water more frequently than usual, you might have a leak. Other common signs of a pool leak include:

  • Unexplained soft, mushy, or wet spots in the yard.

  • Cracks in the pool's structure or falling tiles.

  • Higher-than-normal water bills.

  • Persistent algae growth or water discoloration.

  • Standing water near the pump, pipes, or other pool equipment.

It takes more electricity to run one, so it’s not necessarily cheaper to run a salt water pool. However, the cost difference is relatively minor; it may cost an extra $50 over the course of a year. However, salt costs a lot less than chlorine sanitizers. This lowers the overall maintenance costs for a salt water pool compared to chlorine pools.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

If you've decided to fill in or remove your pool, begin by researching local, reputable pool removal companies to take care of the job for you. There are a variety of companies and contractors that can handle the work. You can start by looking for demolition or construction companies. Also, some pool builders will handle fills and removals.
