"I work for a property management company that has been using Clear Water most of this year while it's been difficult finding new hires for our own in-house maintenance crew. They have been knocking jobs out of the park left and right for us. Appreciate their timeliness, communication, fair pricing and hard work."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Excellent job. Needed drywall repaired after the interior wall was opened up to facilitate plumbing work by another company. Easy to contact, showed up on time ready to work with the right equipment and supplies, described work to be done clearly, explained each step as it was done, was detail oriented and careful when completing the work, cleaned up the work area when done, end result was perfect. Quote was reasonable. I will definitely call this company again when I need work done."

"Excellent experience. Quick reply to the quote request and was available two days later to do the job. Josh completely replaced a rotting exterior pillar and recreated its detailed decorative trim work perfectly. Fast, impressive, quality work. I'd highly recommend his services."

"Our agency needed to remodel a shelter kitchen area, and picked IYH from a pool of many RFQ bidders as the most qualified and capable. The contract negotiations were straight-forward, direct, efficient, and very friendly – clearly, this team knows how to work well together. The pre-construction team focused on the agency’s needs and truly “crawled inside” the details in the RFQ. They efficiently kept within a reasonable timeframe as to start of construction and projected end dates, effectively dealing with our occasional concerns and one “act of God” event. Most importantly, the on-site team (project manager, site manager, technical staff) all were well-versed in the needs of a shelter, and IYH took very many steps to make sure the agency’s shelter residents were both informed and kept safe, even making construction crew pictures and names available prior to construction. During the construction phase , IYH exceptionally managed demolition, debris management/removal, renovation (framing, plumbing, electrical (both low and high voltage), windows, exterior siding, materials deliveries, sheetrock, painting, cabinetry, countertops, tile backsplash, flooring, lighting), and post-renovation cleanup – including in-situ deep cleaning. Also, IYH was responsive to the predictable mid-construction changes, including a contract expansion for flooring throughout the structure, replacement of the several bath/restroom features, and so on. The high quality of the team members and the work they have produced is evident in both now-hidden and still-visible ways throughout the shelter. Post-construction, our agency will continue to leverage the multi-faceted IYH maintenance and “handyman” services for both this structure and other needs – and we strongly encourage other agencies and homeowners to check out the thorough, professional, and personal work this team easily delivers."

"I hired Vova to help with a few projects at my house, and he did an amazing job. He assembled my wardrobe quickly and professionally, and later also mounted my TV on the wall. Everything was done fast, clean, and with great attitude. Very friendly, easy to communicate with, and clearly knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Schedule pool construction and installation assessments immediately if you notice new cracks in the shell, heaving concrete decks, or rotting fence posts after the wet winter season. Unexplained water loss points to underground plumbing leaks requiring prompt repair. Additionally, schedule an inspection following any seismic activity in Portland. Finally, rising heating bills indicate aging, inefficient equipment that you must replace before the summer swimming season.

Helpful?

The pool shell and surrounding concrete deck require the most attention over time. Wet winters and expansive clay soils cause ground movement, leading to cracks in the shell and underground plumbing lines. Freeze-thaw cycles also damage concrete decking. Because OR experiences high humidity and heavy rain, your safety fencing, heating systems, and winterization equipment experience accelerated wear and require regular replacement during pool construction and installation.

Helpful?

Start by securing local permits and planning for strict stormwater regulations. Portland has expansive clay soils, so a soil assessment is a mandatory first step before excavation. You must also evaluate your electrical panel, as older homes require an upgrade to support new equipment. Finally, plan for proper safety fencing, which is required by OR law for all pool construction and installation projects.

Helpful?

Excavation surprises create unexpected expenses during pool construction and installation. Contractors encounter basalt rock formations, high groundwater tables, or expansive clay soils that require specialized equipment. You will also face strict stormwater compliance requirements, demanding engineered drainage solutions. Additionally, Portland enforces strict tree removal regulations, and rerouting unmarked underground utility lines adds significant financial strain to your project.

Helpful?

You must account for the short outdoor swimming season by investing in efficient heating systems and durable covers. Because the region faces seismic risks from the Cascadia Subduction Zone, structural engineers must design your pool for earthquake resilience. Furthermore, Portland enforces strict urban tree canopy regulations, meaning mature trees on your property dictate exact placement options for all pool construction and installation projects.
