"This job was to remove textured paint from the ceilings in 3 rooms, approx. 750 square feet. The crew showed up promptly, and took time to prep the entire work area. The job was ~3 days' work, including re-painting the ceilings. After completion, I noticed some missed spots, likely due to lighting in the house. The company promptly fixed the issues I pointed out, and I'm satisfied with the results. Would definitely hire again."
"I contacted Cully because of his ratings on Angie's List as it is very hard to find a reliable contractor in this small town where we own apartments. Cully immediately got back to me - we discussed what work needed to be done and he had a very professional proposal emailed to me within 24 hours. The price was right on target for work performed and we are very satisfied with his work. Initially, we agreed for him to sheet-rock 2 ceilings but found that he was so knowledgable and handy so we also had him put up paneling. We did not have him paint the interior as we did that ourselves (he did paint the ceilings when completed). Come spring time, I will hire him again to do some exterior painting. He is my first "go-to" now when we need repairs, painting, or sheet-rocking done. He cleaned up each time he finished working, making it look better than it had before he started. Cully was always on time and in communication with me either by phone or email so I knew where the project stood at all times. He even suggested an electrician and was there to let him in and explain what we wanted done when we had to upgrade our smoke detectors. "Alan is a trustworthy guy who wants to make his customers happy. For big jobs, he works with a friend, and both of them together can do essentially anything (including basic electrical and basic plumbing). We first hired him to remodel our bathroom. It included tearing a wall down and expanding it so a bath could fit in the room. They also had to tear down a 150 year old brick chimney in the process. They installed a new vanity, built a shelving unit into the wall and put in the lighting. The finished product was good. The room was not square, but the house is built in 1836, so I don't know if anyone could have done that. Next, we had him install a railing on our stairs. This came out great no complaints. He then installed a bedroom with laminate flooring and also the stair landing. This job was not as clean, some of the floor trim was not edged and the lines of the wood running from the bedroom to the stair landing were not flush. These negatives though were a result of a positive - that is, for this job, he worked from dusk until sun up because he had other jobs/commitments later in the week. He is an extremely hard worker. For this job we traded the finishing touches for timely completion - and overall the finished product was still good. The last major job was the sheetrocking in between our beams downstairs. In most jobs, there was a little clean up I had to do - pieces of wood from the carpentry of the bathroom left in a crawlspace, horsehair plaster or sheetrock left crumbled on the floor. They forgot to include thresholds in the bathroom and bedroom jobs as well. HOWEVER, whenever I spoke with Alan about any of this, anything I had not already done, he came over promptly and fixed/completed/cleaned it. He was reachable and kind and we trusted him. He said a few times that he wanted to make sure we were happy. We called him on two or three separate occasions because he is a hard worker, he is trustworthy and his price is reasonable. We would call him again for sure.
"Nick and his team did a very thorough and quality job. It looks great, and they made an effort in some large and small ways. They were concerned about damaging the roof of the carport, so they took off the roof, did the work and replaced it (Suntuff). I had heat tape on several parts of the garage to correct occasional ice dams, and Nick came back after the job was done and put them back up. They worked to keep the number of nails in the grass to a minimum, and cleaned up after themselves. If there were any challenges, it was controlling the nail population on the ground. Everybody worked hard (including my wife) to use the magnet to clean them up. We also got hit by a big storm in the middle of the job, cutting power to many places and downing trees on our road. This slowed the work a little. We had a few small leaks during the storm, but nothing bad, as they had put the underlayment down before the storm hit. All of this work was done for a very competitive price that couldn't be beat by two other competitors, and it is not possible to control the weather. My wife and I are happy we found him on Angie's List."

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."
