John and his team arrived on time every single day for the three consecutive days it took to paint the entire interior of my house. Not only was John tasked with painting, but he was also asked to replace a lot of broken molding and baseboards. The work performed was truly exceptional and exceeded my expectations. I will be hiring John again this spring to do some more exterior painting for my barn, as well as some unrelated exterior work on my house read less

We are thrilled with our newly repaired house! Kevin handled a variety of serious water damage problems efficiently, while communicating and listening well. We expected to lose our front deck, which had been improperly attached, but all that is fixed and ready to use. Kevin also built us a nice back porch. The big deal is that our house, which had been taking on unseen water damage for years, is now safe and secure. We are very happy with Kevin's work and I will definitely call him if I ever need more work done read less

Travis is a real wood working pro! Dan was also great and showed up a few times throughout the project. Everything was neat and clean when done and we'd highly recommend these guys!!! No surprises!

  • Alden Painting
The work went quickly and as noted above it all turned out perfect. This house is a family house and I managed the work with Alden Painting remotely. This needed close communication and Mr. Alden regular sent me digital photos of the work and between these and phone calls we were able to make effective decisions and this saved me a couple long drives read less

d the job he knew exactly what to doThe guy is great. First time i've used him. Quiet, hardworking, professional, polite, on-time, etc. His price was quite reasonable too - much less than the other estimate i received for the same job. When I described the job he knew exactly what to do - which is more than I can say about others that we talked to read less

showed up exactly when he said he would. friendly and professional. got right to work, answered all my questions on where I went wrong and how to correct it. only took about 1/2 hour to hang the door and frame. most carpenters that I talk to it was to small a job for them to bother with. It all happened while we were away. House is complicated as it is a log house. Job looked great when we returned. Cleaned up well. I have used Michael for many jobs before including a full addition to this house ($40K) and a renovation of an historical building with 5 apartments ($85K). I have hired him to do a major kitchen expansion and renovation this summer for my home read less

  • Joined Builders
From the start working with Mike at Joined Builders was great. He called and we discussed the project then he came out and met with us to see the space and learn more about what we wanted. He provided us an estimate which was a little higher than some of the others we received but we decided to go with his team because of the professionalism and recommendations from others. He gave us a timeline and the team kept to that timeline. They were very nice all the time and kept to a schedule which allowed us to remain living in the house. We would highly recommend Mike and his team to our friends and neighbors read less

We own our only property in Stowe, but live outside of Boston in a house provided by my husband's work. I thought I would be nervous renting our only property three hours away, but not with Mike! He treats our home as though it is his- notices every detail, calls for water filter service when I forget, makes sure the snow is plowed, the walks are salted, there is paper towel and that all the light bulbs work before guests arrive, cleans the fireplace and gets it ready for renters, sets up a crib w/o being asked, and one renter told me there was a dog bone treat waiting for her dog! Mike has painted the house, done plumbing work, peeled wallpaper, replaced doors- by ordering only the parts we needed and doing it himself- saved us hundreds of $$$$! He has gone to the house to pick up renters belongings that they forget- from sweatshirts to violins- and mailed them back to them at their homes. He fixes all the little things- door knobs, cracked stairs, leaky faucets, etc. He is the best and thanks to him renting and owning a house three hours away is pretty easy! And, he is always available, always acts like we are his only customer, and takes care of things immediately. He is the best read less
