I have a 1 hour charge for estimates as traveling to look at the job is a real expense, and time consuming. I have a small mileage surcharge for trips from 41 to 59 miles from home. I add 30 minutes labor daily. over 60, an hour a day. I accept cash, (good) check (50$ fee plus my penalties if a bad check) Venmo, and Zelle for payment options. I shop locally as much as possible, and network with several other professionals in the area who share the same ethical and quality standards that I do. I feel I'm responsible for the project even if I'm not doing that particular segment of it. My labor rates are: 45$/hr for general work 65$/hr for technical work, like plumbing...septic/sewer line work is 80$/hr...because nobody likes playing in poo...electrical, and propane, etc. are at 65$/hr, too. I do have a 2 hour minimum, in lieu of a service or other charges...so if I'm coming over, make a list! Thank you for your time and for visiting my page.
